Last Epoch is a hack-and-slash action RPG that features a rich and deep character customization system, allowing you to create your unique builds and playstyles.
One of the classes you can choose from is the Rogue, a swift and agile fighter who specializes in stealth, traps, and ranged attacks. Within the Rogue class, you can further specialize into one of three masteries: Bladedancer, Marksman, or Falconer.
The Falconer is a mastery that focuses on using a Falcon as your loyal companion and weapon. The Falconer can command the Falcon to strike enemies from the air, deal explosive damage with traps, and buff your attacks with various skills.

Last Epoch Falconer Skills
The Falconer has access to five active skills that can be used in combat: Falcon Strikes, Dive Bomb, Explosive Trap, Shift, and Cinder Strike. Each skill has its skill tree that allows you to customize and enhance its effects.
You can allocate up to 20 points per skill, and you can respec your points at any time by talking to the Chronomancer NPC at the End of Time.
Here is a breakdown of each skill and how to spec them for your Falconer build.
Falcon Strikes
Falcon Strikes is the signature skill of the Falconer and the main source of your damage. It allows you to summon your Falcon to attack enemies in front of you, dealing physical damage and applying bleed.
You can also activate the skill again to perform a Falcon Strike yourself, dealing more damage and generating Flurry stacks. Flurry stacks increase your attack and cast speed, and can be consumed by other skills for additional effects.
The skill tree for Falcon Strikes has three main branches: one that enhances your Falcon’s attacks, one that enhances your attacks, and one that adds elemental damage and effects to your attacks.
For this build, we will focus on the first and third branches, as they provide the most damage and utility for your Falconer.
Here is how to allocate your points for Falcon Strikes:
- Rapid Strikes (5/5): Increases the number of times your Falcon attacks per cast by 1. This is a must-have node, as it doubles your Falcon’s damage output and bleed application.
- Swooping Strikes (4/4): Increases the area of effect of your Falcon’s attacks by 100%. This is a great node, as it allows your Falcon to hit more enemies and clear packs faster.
- Twin Strikes (1/1): Makes your Falcon attack twice per strike, dealing 50% less damage per hit. This is a powerful node, as it effectively quadruples your Falcon’s damage output and bleed application, as well as triggering other effects more often.
- Rending Talons (4/4): Increases the bleed chance of your Falcon’s attacks by 40%. This is a useful node, as it boosts your Falcon’s damage over time and synergizes with other nodes that benefit from bleeding.
- Blood Rage (1/1): Makes your Falcon deal 30% more damage and attack 30% faster while you or the enemy are bleeding. This is an amazing node, as it greatly increases your Falcon’s damage and speed, and it is almost always active due to your high bleed chance.
- Falconer’s Fury (1/1): Makes your Falcon deal 15% more damage per active Flurry stack. This is a nice node, as it further increases your Falcon’s damage based on your Flurry stacks, which you can easily generate with your own Falcon Strike.
- Storm Strike (1/1): Adds 12 lightning damage to your Falcon’s attacks, and makes them shock enemies. This is a good node, as it adds some elemental damage and utility to your Falcon’s attacks, and opens up the possibility of scaling lightning damage with other nodes and gear.
- Storm’s Aid (3/3): Increases the lightning damage of your Falcon’s attacks by 45%. This is a simple node, but it boosts your Falcon’s lightning damage significantly.
- Storm’s Fury (1/1): Makes your Falcon deal 15% more lightning damage per active Flurry stack. This is a similar node to Falconer’s Fury, but it applies to lightning damage instead of physical damage. It is a good node, as it further increases your Falcon’s lightning damage based on your Flurry stacks.
