According to Metacritic, the game was met with “generally favorable” reviews. While it “doesn’t take the series to new heights,” Digital Spy said, “the old daredevil still has plenty of life left in him.”
Reviewing the game, Metro said, “The greatest Joe Danger yet, with some entertaining new concept and some of the best touchscreen controls ever seen in an action game.”
The game received an eight out of 10. While National Post scored it 7/10, they did note that “Joe Danger games perform a bit better on an iPhone or even an iPad Mini than an iPad.”
Joe Danger Rides Again: Free Browser Edition Now Available
Hello, Games had developed the adorable and colorful stunt-racing Joe Danger series before starting work on No Man’s Sky. You can still play the original Joe Danger and its sequel on Steam, but the mobile spinoff Joe Danger Infinity was only ever accessible on iOS.
Up until now, that is. Recently, both Joe Danger Infinity and Joe Danger Touch, a mobile adaptation of the original, became available to play in your browser for no cost. Previous Joe Danger mobile versions had been made unplayable by iOS updates and then deleted from the app store.
That all changed in January of this year when Hello Games re-released Joe Danger on iOS after receiving an email from the mother of an autistic child who adored the game. In a tweet from yesterday, Sean Murray wrote, “It’s unfortunate that many games slowly expire, and we’ve been trying to think of a method to let Joe go on forever and reach as many people as possible.”

Putting out a web-browser version that’s completely free to play. “Hopefully, this helps illustrate one approach to achieving that goal. “It doesn’t matter what operating system you use because Infinity is browser-based, works with mice and keyboards, and has an adjustable resolution.
Go here to get started with the game right away. The video will play while Joe Danger Infinity loads; when it’s done, you can play with mouse controls that mimic touch. You can either click here to play Jod Danger Touch right now or use the link in the top right corner of the screen to switch from Infinity.
It’s excellent that studios with the resources to do so are keeping older games alive, and it’s even better that they’re doing it by making them available for free. While the Joe Danger games may not have the same breadth as No Man’s Sky, they are nevertheless enjoyable and worth trying.

Hello Games Breathes New Life into Joe Danger with Browser Game
Although No Man’s Sky has catapulted Hello Games to prominence, the firm began as a stunt team. After the success of Joe Danger, Hello turned its attention to the stars. Joe Danger was a simple, enjoyable, and polished indie game that was first released on PC and consoles before making its way to smartphones.
Not until very recently, anyway. Last year at this time, the studio had a genuine gaming feelgood moment when they updated and revamped the original Joe Danger titles for iOS after hearing from the parent of one of the franchise’s biggest fans.
Since Hello Titles’ attention had naturally been drawn to expanding the world of No Man’s Sky, development on the Joe Danger games had stalled. Nonetheless, it is undeniable that the reminder that people still cared had an effect.
Joe Danger Touch and its successor, Infinity, have been re-released by Hello Games as free web games, effectively preserving the best of the title that established the studio indefinitely. “It’s tragic that many games slowly die,” Sean Murray, developer of Joe Danger and co-founder of Hello Games, has observed.
Last January we launched Joe Danger on iOS 😍
Now Joe Danger is playable in your browser for FREE 😎

“We’ve been brainstorming ways to ensure Joe’s legacy endures indefinitely and reaches the widest audience possible. One way to do it is through this, we hope. All of this success is his doing.”
If you’re unfamiliar with the Joe Danger video game, picture an auto runner (auto-motorbiker?) in which the player controls an Evil Knievel action figure.
The games are unabashedly joyful pastimes, and they remain entertaining for half an hour after I spent it making sure the web versions functioned as intended. I can confirm that, to my relief, they are.
In the wake of the launch failure of No Man’s Sky, the developer has shown remarkable resilience and dedication to its games, and this latest achievement is just the latest example of that.
The only sad part has nothing to do with Hello but the fact that many other games have been lost in recent years due to technological advancements like iOS updates and that very few of these games will ever be appreciated to the extent that Joe Danger has been.
Of course, Hello also has an eye on the future. The upcoming game from the developer is not a successor to No Man’s Sky, but it will be just as ambitious. This time around, though, Hello will likely take all necessary measures to quell anticipation for the release.
