A chart for Honkai: Star Rail reveals how the game has spread its four-star characters since it launched in April. Similar to other games with gacha mechanics, Honkai: Star Rail sorts its characters into two groups based on rarity: five-star and four-star units.
In Honkai: Star Rail, the main attractions are the powerful five-star characters. Each of them gets their special limited banner during updates. If you make 90 wishes, you’re guaranteed to get at least one five-star character. On the other hand, it’s easier to get four-star characters because you’re sure to get one within 10 pulls.
In Honkai: Star Rail, each special banner showcases one five-star and three four-star characters. HoYovers make sure not to repeat the same four-star characters in consecutive banners.
A Reddit user named Minimum-Story made a helpful chart showing how the game introduces four-star characters in these limited banners.

This chart is useful for players who want to know when their favorite four-star character might appear again. For instance, the Wind user Dan Heng has been in multiple banners, increasing the chances of seeing him in future updates.
In the 1.3 update, he might not have appeared because the first banner highlighted Imbibitor Lunae, who is considered the upgraded Imaginary version of Dan Heng.
In the next Honkai: Star Rail update, there will be two new powerful characters: Topaz and Jingliu, both five-star heroes. Another exciting addition is a four-star character named Guinaifen, who brings fiery abilities inspired by Nihility. Guinaifen is likely to apply harmful effects to her enemies, making her a valuable addition to the game.
These debuffs do various things, like making enemies weaker or stopping them completely. In the same banner cycle, there’s Seele, a character everyone loves, and she’s a big money-maker for Honkai: Star Rail.
In the second part of update 1.4, there’s going to be a special double banner with Seele, who uses Quantum powers, and the new Fire character. It’s the first time the game is doing something like this.
Both these characters are all about hunting and dealing damage to one target at a time. Fans think the first banner in update 1.5 might showcase the Wind character Dan Heng, the Physical user Natasha, and the Lightning DPS Arlan, based on the number of skipped banners shown on the chart.
