Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.6, “Dance With the Beast Before Moonrise,” is live, and it runs differently from most updates. Pearl, its new 5-star character, keeps her banner for the whole version instead of leaving after the first phase. Only the reruns beside her change.
Here is what the update adds, when each banner ends, and when Version 4.7 is expected, all based on HoYoverse’s official notices.

Pearl, the new defender
Pearl is a 5-star Elation character who fights with Ice. HoYoverse describes her as “a defense character who consumes ‘Certified Banger’ to block DMG for all allies.” Her Ultimate advances a teammate’s action and, under certain conditions, can give that teammate an extra turn. She can also heal the team and remove debuffs.
She arrives with a new signature 5-star Light Cone, “Colors for Tomorrow,” built for the Elation Path.

Version 4.6 banners and end dates
Banner times below are in server time, meaning the local time of the server you play on, whether America, Europe or Asia.
| Banner | Featured | Ends |
|---|---|---|
| “An Ocean in a Pearl” (character) | Pearl (Elation: Ice) | Nov. 10, 3 p.m. |
| “Brilliant Fixation” (Light Cone) | Colors for Tomorrow | Nov. 10, 3 p.m. |
| Phase I rerun | Evanescia (Elation: Physical) and Light Cone “Until the Flowers Bloom Again” | Oct. 21, 11:59 a.m. |
| Phase II rerun | Mortenax Blade (Nihility: Fire) and Light Cone “Reforged in Hellfire” | Dates not yet posted |
The Phase I details come from HoYoverse’s official Event Warp notice. The featured 4-star characters are Qingque (Erudition: Quantum), Xueyi (Destruction: Quantum) and Misha (Destruction: Ice), with the 4-star Light Cones Post-Op Conversation, Planetary Rendezvous and Boundless Choreo.
Mortenax Blade’s Phase II rerun was shown in the Version 4.6 livestream recap, but HoYoverse has not yet posted its start date. Because Evanescia’s rerun ends on Oct. 21, Phase II is likely to begin around then. Treat that as an estimate until the official notice appears.
New events worth logging in for
- Astral Imagea Park: a new pet-style system. Players draw Astral Imageas with Trendible Vouchers, take them into battle in an Imagea squad, or place them around the world.
- Love, Ghosts & Robots: an event built around a decommissioned mechatron pipeline that a ghost named Skott has turned into a production line.
- Interastral Peace Gala: One Take: a reality-show event where players audition and show off their combat skills.
- Wishpower UP! Down with Voracity!: a combat event themed around the awakening Aeon of Voracity.
- Gift of Odyssey: a log-in event that gives 10 Star Rail Special Passes after seven days of check-ins.
Several events require Trailblaze Level 21 or higher, and some story content requires finishing the new Trailblaze Mission first. The update also adds the Life Sciences Institute, described in the notes as “the private research center of Yabuli,” and lets iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max owners turn on MetalFX at 120 FPS.
When does Version 4.7 come out?
HoYoverse has not announced Version 4.7 yet. What is official is that Version 4.6 runs until Nov. 11, 2026, at 6 a.m. (UTC+8). That end date is the clearest signal available, and it points to an expected Version 4.7 release around Nov. 11 in Asia, which would be the evening of Nov. 10 in the Americas.
Version 4.6’s own livestream aired eight days before its launch, so the 4.7 broadcast would normally land in early November if HoYoverse keeps to that pattern. Until a date is posted, both are estimates.
Star Rail’s year so far
Version 4.6 caps a busy 2026 for the game. Honkai: Star Rail celebrated its third anniversary on April 26, 2026, during Version 4.2, and HoYoverse released an animation concept trailer made with the studio MAPPA in April.
HoYoverse’s other big release, Genshin Impact, is moving at a similar pace. It reached Version 7.1 in September, and our Clorinde guide covers how one of its Fontaine characters has fared across three banners. For Star Rail players, the next date that matters is Oct. 21, when Evanescia’s rerun leaves and Phase II takes over.
