Halo Infinite Leak: 343 Industries didn’t hold back when it came to discussing its goals for Halo Infinite and how the studio plans to lay the groundwork for future games, all while bringing the series closer to its origins in a number of different ways. The Banished and Master Chief’s new AI partner, The Weapon, are both good instances of this philosophy by taking old staples of the series and giving each a new spin along with new additions like The Endless.

Halo Infinite Leak
This mentality also applies to new additions such as The Endless. Despite this, it would appear that the game’s developers left some noteworthy content on the cutting room floor, as a recent development leak reveals.
The leaks were posted on Twitter by a user with the handle Leaks Infinite, who, as their handle suggests, has recently published a number of films showcasing Halo Infinite’s testing and development. In a substantial chunk of the films that Leaks uploaded, early weapon designs are demonstrated.
These early weapon concepts include a new version of the Promethean scattershot as well as a light rifle, all of which were ultimately scrapped from the game’s armory. The wildlife, which was hinted at in the very first teaser trailer for Halo Infinite, and the Prometheans, who had a significant role in both Halo 4 and Halo 5, look to be two of the most significant pieces of content that have been removed from the game.
The Flood was essentially supplanted by the Prometheans as the second major enemy faction that Master Chief found himself fighting in Halo 4, along with the resurgent Covenant. The Prometheans were introduced in Halo 4. In the course of the conflict between the Forerunner and the Flood, the live creatures that comprised the robotic army were revealed to have been transformed into machines as part of the Forerunner’s strategy.
Videos obtained through leaks reveal that Promethean Knights, Watchers, and Soldiers were in the early phases of development as another potential enemy force. However, it appears that the force did not advance beyond this stage of development.
On the other hand, it appears that some of Zeta Halo’s potential animals made it much further into production before being removed from the game by developer 343 Industries. The leak reveals that an early model of the split-horn rhino that was seen in the first teaser for Halo Infinite was developed; however, it does not appear that this model progressed any further than this stage.
Another creature, known as the Crusher, made it much further and had two models built. One of these models appears to have been outfitted with Banished armor in order to function as a form of living tank.

Players who have been playing Halo for a while might find the earlier change more shocking than the latter one. Since 343 Studios took over Halo’s development from Bungie, the Reclaimer Saga has been an important component of the franchise’s narrative.
One of the ways the studio attempted to place the Forerunners at the forefront of Master Chief’s new story arc was by including the Prometheans. Only time will tell if the enemy force will make a comeback in either a future Halo game or in a piece of downloadable content for Halo Infinite. You can play Halo Infinite right now on your personal computer, Xbox One, or Xbox Series X/S.
