What the Extended Look actually showed

Rockstar’s 26-minute presentation premiered on Netflix on August 27 and was captured in-game on a standard PlayStation 5. These are the systems shown running — not the ones fans are hoping for.

Karma, positive and negative

Indicators surface when Jason pets a dog and when Lucia turns on someone. Rockstar never says what it changes.

Six stars are back

The meter tops out at six during a helicopter pursuit — GTA 5 capped at five.

Switch between Jason and Lucia

Fast character switching, shown mid-mission rather than from a menu.

Vehicle combat with real damage

Both leads fire from cars, and shot tires send police cruisers out of control.

The world answers back

Contextual prompts on people and animals, closer to Red Dead Redemption 2 than GTA 5.

Life between jobs

Home interactions down to the fridge and the TV; basketball, scuba, racing, fanboats, canoeing and jet skis.

The ledger

Twelve leaks in eight days

Through late August a leaker going by CyberLeek released gameplay video after gameplay video, then started monetising the drip — auctioning sponsor slots for 400 XMR, running token votes on what to leak next, and warning Take-Two that the full build goes public if anyone comes looking. It is the single largest story in this category, and it is still open.
