At this stage in GTA 6, it’s difficult to tell what’s genuine, what’s not, and what’s wishful thinking. Every day comes a fresh piece of information that might disclose more about the upcoming sequel while we all wait for the trailer to be released in early December.
This is absolutely the case with specific shop pre-order information leaking online. Conversations took place on November 23 between a GTA fan and the British store Argos, with the latter saying that pre-orders for GTA 6 will begin on December 12.
The date is correct, even if it may be an honest error, a placeholder date, or Argos not having the necessary information. Rockstar Games has previously stated that the video would be released in early December, and it would make sense – and be a surprise – if pre-orders started as soon as the teaser ended.
Twitter account stated, “I have been informed that the software Grand Theft Auto VI for the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 will be available for pre-order on December 12, 2023, as confirmed to us by the distributors.”
There is an image circling Twitter/X in relation to a Argos Support conversation stating GTA6 will be available for Pre-Order on Dec 12th, 2023.
We have reached out to Argos to clarify this, to which they do not have a date for pre-orders or release.
They have stated though… pic.twitter.com/gSwINGQXTV

It’s time for some salt and maybe a bumpy landing back on firm ground. It may be anything, even a staff worker stoking the fire. It’s difficult to say at this stage. After contacting the retailer’s helpdesk, Rockstar Universe, a long-established website for all things Rockstar Games, it quickly refuted this date.
Retailers will, of course, be the first to know about pre-orders, mainly because this game has the potential to crash servers when orders go live, but for now, we’ll have to wait and watch. Isn’t it only a matter of time until we see the trailer? RIGHT?
