Members of the GTA VI fan community have been collaborating to piece together the in-game information, including landmarks, in-game coordinates, spotted locations, road signs, and more, to estimate the game’s map as early as possible.
This reminds me of the Grand Theft Auto V mapping project that was done roughly ten years ago by GTAForums members who used in-game pictures and trailers to construct a map of Los Santos.

To begin, the majority of staff have welcomed this new approach to development. The transition was favorably received by several of the team members who had previously worked through the games’ crunch periods and elected to remain with Rockstar.
