How to Enter Cheats in GTA 3 and Definitive Edition?
While inserting cheats in GTA 3 is quite simple, there are a few things to keep in mind when utilizing them in-game, particularly if you are playing the Definitive Edition.
- Several cheat codes for the 2021 Definitive Edition have been deactivated. Rockstar has stated that some cheats have been deleted for technical reasons, and we have verified which ones have worked for us on this page, as well as those that have worked in prior re-releases if you are playing those.

- Before you use cheats, make sure to save. Using cheats, especially on prior remasters or the PS2 original, can be perilous, and it’s often difficult to reverse the havoc you cause with them enabled. Always save first to have a backup just in case.
- Most cheats cannot be disabled. Re-entering a cheat will often result in a “cheat deactivated” warning in-game, but in our experience, this frequently leaves the hack active, or at least the accompanying mayhem in full effect. This is another reason why you should save first, so you can reload your save game and return to where you were before using the trick.
- Do not save while the cheat is active. This is an essential one. Saving when a cheat is active, especially in GTA 3, can destroy a save file or ruin a main save game by causing chaos. We strongly advise you not to take the chance and not save after using one.
