We don’t know when exactly GTA 6 will come out, but here’s what you should know right now about the game. It’s the next Grand Theft Auto after GTA 5. Even though people have been talking and guessing about it, the game’s creators at Rockstar haven’t said much about it.
Some pictures and details have leaked out, but not a lot of official stuff. Still, we think we might find out more about the game, maybe even this year.

GTA 6 Release Date Hint by Take-Two CEO
During an interview with CNBC, Zelnick was directly asked when GTA 6 will be released. The CEO suggested that it might be coming out very soon.
He said, “We leave the announcement of upcoming titles to our labels and we have said we have a very robust pipeline of titles and we have a great outlook for fiscal 2025 where we’ve reiterated our belief that we’ll generate about $8 billion in net bookings.”
“So pretty exciting time. But we haven’t spoken about the specific release schedule and we have titles coming from all of our labels.”
Zelnick had suggested before that GTA 6 might be released in 2024 or 2025. He talked about this in calls with people who invest money, making them excited about the game coming out soon. This matches what journalist Jason Schreier has said.
When asked how much it costs to make GTA 6, which people say could be one of the most expensive games ever made, Zelnick was sure it would make a lot of money.
“The Grand Theft Auto franchise is probably perhaps the most profitable franchise in the history of entertainment. We focus on costs, of course, we have a three-part strategy. Be the most creative, be the most innovative, be the most efficient… undoubtedly a title like Grand Theft Auto will always be highly profitable,” he stated.
GTA 6 Platforms: Where Will It Be Available?
You’re all good if you have a newer Windows PC, PS5, Xbox Series X, or Xbox Series S. GTA 6 will be available on these systems. But you might be out of luck if you have an older gaming console.
Tom Henderson suggests that Rockstar wants to release the game for the newer consoles. So, GTA 6 might not come out for Xbox One and PS4, which is becoming common nowadays.

A new and improved version of the PS5 called PS5 Pro might be coming out. This could make the games run even better, and it might be out next year. We’re not sure if Microsoft is also planning to make a better version of the Xbox in the middle of its generation.
GTA 6 Pre-Order: How to Get It?
You shouldn’t buy GTA 6 ahead of time from eBay or other places that say you can play it early. You only get it when Rockstar, the company that makes the game, tells everyone they’re ready to sell it. When Rockstar announces the game’s release date, that’s when you can buy it in advance.
They might offer extra stuff like special clothes and looks for your game character, cool designs for your weapons, and other things to make it exciting. Like in GTA 5, they gave a bonus called the Atomic Blimp to people who pre-ordered. You can see it in the picture above.
GTA 6 Price: How Much Will It Cost?
We don’t know the exact price of the game yet, but it looks like GTA 6 for Xbox Series X and PS5 will probably start at $69.99. This is the usual price for big and high-quality games nowadays.
GTA 6 is expected to be one of the most popular games of the decade, so it’s unlikely that its price will be lower. This price is likely for the regular version of the game. If Rockstar decides to sell special packages with extra stuff, they will probably cost more money.
GTA 6 Editions: What Are the Different Versions?
We don’t know anything about the different types of GTA 6 yet. We’ll only learn about them when Rockstar tells us about the game. But, just like before, there will probably be a few options for the game.
Last time with GTA 5, Rockstar released three versions: a Regular one, a Special Edition, and a Collector’s Edition. Each version had different things added and cost a different amount of money.
For example, the Special Edition and Collector’s Edition had a special metal case, a map, extra outfits and tattoos, more weapons, and other stuff.
The Collector’s Edition was the fanciest package you could buy. It included a hat, a bag to keep things safe, a key to play GTA 5, and special cars and houses you can’t get anywhere else.
