The initial theoretical map of the new Fontaine region, which is anticipated to appear in the following significant update, is displayed by a Genshin Impact player. Teyvat, the game’s main continent, is divided into seven distinct main regions.
Only four countries—Mondstadt, Inazuma, Liyue, and most recently, the Sumeru region—have been introduced in HoYoverse. The Sumeru arc of Genshin Impact is gradually closing, so it’s time for a new significant part to join the game.
According to one of the game’s initial tale teasers, Fontaine, also known as the Hydro country, will be the fifth location to be added to Teyvat’s explorable territory.
The first conjectured map of Fontaine is shown in a new post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit. This map was created based on the new terrain model in the most recent Genshin Impact version 3.6.
Two new areas of the Sumeru desert have been included as part of the continuing update; these two areas are anticipated to be the Dendro nation’s final two expansions, at least for the foreseeable future.
HoYoverse opted to alter the placeholder model for the land that can be seen but not reached from Sumeru’s newly added deserts because these areas are anticipated to border Fontaine.
While many fans concur that Fontaine will change significantly once update 4.0 is released, others assert that the model may resemble the final version of the following significant region.

The new image indicates that Fontaine will be covered in lakes and rivers, which makes sense given that hydro is the region’s emblematic element. Besides the fact that this country is the home of the Hydro Archon known as Focalors, little is known about it.
The central city of Fontaine will reportedly be tethered to a vertical platform and encircled by waterfalls, according to previous Genshin Impact leaks.

Genshin Impact’s primary nations are based on real places, while France influenced Fontaine’s artwork during the Age of Revolution. Credible leakers have also reported that Sandrone and Arlecchino, two well-known members of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers, will portray the critical antagonists in this location.
Ten distinct Genshin Impact characters who will be connected to this area have already had their models leaked in several leaks regarding playable characters. Fontaine won’t be the only important map update shortly; according to reports, Mondstadt and Liyue, the game’s first two regions, may soon see an expansion.
