On July 3, 2023, Genshin Impact shared a video preview of the upcoming big update in the game, version 4.0. This update is about Fontaine, a new part of the game.

They also introduced the voice actors for the new characters and showed their artwork on the game’s Twitter page. The artwork featured three essential characters from the Fontaine storyline.

Freminet

Freminet, a Cryo character, is set to be released as a playable character in Genshin Impact. He made his first appearance in the Overture Teaser: The Final Feast.

Lyney, an unreleased Pyro character, is set to become a playable character in the popular game Genshin Impact. He is introduced alongside Lynette in the Teyvat Chapter Storyline Preview Act IV, Fontaine.

Genshin Impact 4.0 Release Date Speculation

The scheduled date for the release of Genshin Impact 4.0 is Wednesday, August 16, 2023. Previously, there were discussions regarding the possibility of a 3.9 update preceding 4.0, but it appears that the developers have opted to proceed directly from version 3.8 to 4.0, eliminating the intermediate update.
