Fortnite Chapter 3 Finale: After this weekend’s conclusion event in Fortnite’s Chapter 3, another massive shake-up is imminent in the form of Chapter 4. Fortnite’s third chapter has just been going on since December, yet it’s almost through after only four seasons.
This makes it the shortest chapter in the game’s history by a wide margin. Even while fans are unlikely to ever get an official answer from Epic Games as to why the game is already on Chapter 4, this simply adds to the mystery surrounding the impending season finale.

Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 4 finale – what time does the Fracture event begin?
There will be a final tournament dubbed Fracture this coming Saturday, December 3 at 4 p.m. ET (that’s 9 p.m. GMT for our British friends). Roughly an hour later, a brand-new trailer will debut on the official Fortnite YouTube account.
The video’s description reads, “Don’t tumble to pieces… fight for the fate of the Island,” but the thumbnail shows merely the battle bus drifting through space (at least we assume it’s space).

If you don’t want to be late, you can show up 30 minutes before the event begins. Furthermore, it will allow you to team up with companions, albeit in limited numbers (parties are limited to four).

To my surprise, and in contrast to other Fortnite announcements, it appears that virtually little information regarding the conclusion has leaked in advance. Not anything that would significantly ruin the story.
As such, the facts remain a mystery, although Epic Games has released plenty of teasers. There’s mention of the island degrading and players needing to ‘reforge’ it, which will obviously explain why the map will appear different in Chapter 4.

There has been a major shift in the location of the map at the beginning of each new chapter. Chapter 1 ended with the original island being destroyed and replaced with a new one for Chapter 2, which in turn ended with the island being flipped upside down for Chapter 3.
The cinematic trailer’s teaser has the same shattering effect, culminating in artwork depicting people being pulled into gigantic tornadoes that look to be responsible for the devastation of the island.
Perhaps the island will be devastated right before the player’s eyes, with large sections being torn away by the twisters.
Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 4 finale – when will Chapter 4 start?
Epic Games has not revealed how long the Fracture event will last, but players can make educated assumptions based on other Fortnite events.
Until at least Monday, December 5, the Fracture seems expected to continue. Given that the Toasty Roast emote will be given out to everyone who logs in before 7:45 am, it’s possible that the event will be over by then.
It’s safe to assume the event will carry on for at least 10 hours, and possibly more. After all, the culminating event of Chapter 2 lasted for over 18 hours.

In any case, if it does expire, the game will likely stop working for a while and be unavailable to players. There’s no saying how long that will persist, however Epic Games will certainly want Chapter 4 to go live on Sunday also, as more people will be available to play it.
Fortnite will almost definitely be back by Monday but it is hard to know as changing everything up is not an exact science and Epic Games may run into unexpected delays.
