Half a decade after the release of Far Cry 5, Ubisoft announces a new update. In honor of the game’s fifth Anniversary on March 27, the creators claim they are adding additional features. Far Cry 5 was released by Ubisoft in 2018.
Players take on the role of a sheriff’s deputy from the fictional Hope County, Montana, in this first-person shooter set in an open environment and ruled by the charismatic cult leader Joseph Seed. Players must battle their way across Hope County after a failed attempt to apprehend Seed.
They must work with the locals and eliminate Seed’s lieutenants until they are prepared to confront him in his fortress. Ubisoft intends to issue a new update commemorating the game’s fifth Anniversary after half a decade.
In a message on the official Far Cry Twitter account, the publisher announced and invited players to participate in Ubisoft’s three-week celebration of Far Cry 5. Sadly, the preview did not provide much information on what viewers could anticipate from the festivities.
However, the tweet hinted that Far Cry 5 on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S would soon include an often-desired feature.
Ubisoft said on Twitter: “Let’s celebrate the 5th Anniversary of Far Cry 5! Over the next three weeks, celebrate the 5th Anniversary with us. Stay tuned for what’s to come, including a highly requested feature for next-gen consoles.”

The news received a favorable response on Twitter despite the absence of specifics. Even so, Far Cry 5 will soon receive a next-generation patch. Since the developers have not yet confirmed it, this probably includes increasing the game’s frame rate to 60 on newer systems.
However, it appears that’s not the only thing Ubisoft has in store for Far Cry 5, and players will have to wait a little while until the publisher is ready to show its cards. When Far Cry 5 was published in 2018, it was well received, and some people thought it represented a significant improvement over the previous title.
The sandbox was quite nicely made, and it did away with some of the most grating Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 4 elements, including scaling radio towers to see the map. However, the game’s narrative caused more controversy, with some claiming that the character writing is shallow.

Nevertheless, other people believed that the game’s designers were too coy to avoid making a political statement. The canon ending of Far Cry 5 caused a lot of controversies as reasonably because some people believed it made the player’s efforts pointless and implied that Joseph Seed was correct the entire time.
Despite these flaws, many people still like the game and believe Far Cry 5 to be one of the finest in the franchise.
