Some locations, like Outset Island from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, still haven’t returned directly to any other games. A fan has recreated the island in the Far Cry 5 level editor, Far Cry Arcade, right down to the palm trees, wooden buildings, and tropical setting.
The YouTuber Mojo Swoptops posted a walkthrough of the island to their channel, noting that it took them three hours to construct.
They have previously recreated Riverwood in Skyrim and Helm’s Deep from The Lord of the Rings in Far Cry Arcade, so this isn’t their first rodeo. The player’s character kicks a chicken at the end of the video walkthrough of Outset Island, referencing their previous walkthrough of the Riverwood recreation.

The Legend of Zelda titles has a history of being strong sellers of Nintendo hardware. One of 2023’s most anticipated games is Tears of the Kingdom, the next installment in the series.
Older games in the franchise will gain new fans as the series expands. Considering that next year will be the 20th anniversary of the release of The Wind Waker, now would be a great time for Nintendo to port the game over to the Switch.
The Wind Waker, the second installment in The Legend of Zelda series, originally debuted on the Nintendo GameCube in 2003 and was remastered for the Wii U in 2013.
