Battlestate Games has released the patch notes for Escape From Tarkov 14.0.1, a minor update that tries to fix several bothersome flaws that have appeared since the most recent wipe.
Escape From Tarkov 14.0.1 Patch Notes
The 14.0.1 patch notes are nearly just bug fixes, with no new content being included. However, the bug patches address some of Tarkov’s most bothersome flaws, making the patch a welcome addition.
The installation of patch 0.14.0.1 has begun. The installation will take approximately 3 hours, but may be extended if required. The game will not be accessible during this period. #EscapefromTarkov pic.twitter.com/5JRLYfnHVX

Most players will appreciate the remedy to the glitch that kept them stranded on the loading screen of a scav run, causing them to stop the game and lose their scav. According to the patch notes, this issue has been resolved, therefore no more lost scavs are expected in the future.
The other significant update is bullet penetration and damage calculations for certain ammo types when interacting with the new armor system. Some player trials indicated that top-tier ammunition, such as.338 Lapua Magnum, struggled to pierce specific armor and dealt relatively little damage. This has since been rectified, and other types of ammunition have been modified.
Finally, things obtained via airdrop will now be available in raids, making it much easier to discover rare items required for a mission. With this modification, expect to see a lot more red flares going out in raids over the following several days.
