Gameplay Changes

Patch 7.35b brought some major gameplay changes to Dota 2, such as:

  • Neutral Creeps: The neutral creeps have been reworked and now spawn in different locations and timings. Some of the neutral creeps have also been replaced with new ones, such as the Granite Golem, the Parasma, and the Revenant’s Brooch. These new creeps have unique abilities and drop new neutral items, such as the Block of Cheese, the Khanda, and the Phylactery.
  • Courier: The courier has been upgraded and now has more abilities and items. The courier can now use items such as wards, dust, smoke, and salve, and can also cast spells such as speed burst, shield, and return. The courier also has a new ability called Doubloon, which allows it to drop a gold coin that can be picked up by allies or enemies.
  • Roshan: Roshan has been buffed and now has more health, armor, and damage. Roshan also drops a new item called the Aegis of the Immortal, which grants the holder an extra life upon death. The Aegis expires after 5 minutes or when the holder dies twice. Roshan also drops a new rune called the Roshan Rune, which grants the user a random powerful effect, such as double damage, haste, or invisibility.
  • Runes: The runes have been changed and now spawn in different locations and timings. The power runes now spawn every 2 minutes instead of 4, and the bounty runes now spawn every 5 minutes instead of 3. The power runes also have a new effect called Shine, which grants the user bonus armor and movement speed for a short duration.

Item Changes

Patch 7.35b also introduced some item changes to Dota 2, such as:

  • Bloodstone: Bloodstone no longer restores mana when the user kills an enemy hero or unit. Instead, it grants the user a passive ability called Bloodpact, which allows the user to sacrifice a percentage of their current health and mana to deal damage to nearby enemies and heal nearby allies.
  • Eternal Shroud: Eternal Shroud is a new item that can be built from Hood of Defiance and Soul Booster. It grants the user magic resistance, health, mana, and health and mana regeneration. It also has an active ability called Eternal Endurance, which creates a barrier that absorbs incoming spell damage and converts it into mana.
  • Mage Slayer: Mage Slayer is a new item that can be built from Javelin and Cloak. It grants the user damage, attack speed, and magic resistance. It also has a passive ability called Mage Slayer, which reduces the spell damage of the enemy hit by the user’s attacks for a short duration.
  • Meteor Hammer: Meteor Hammer is an item that has been buffed and now costs less and has a shorter channeling time. It grants the user strength, intelligence, health and mana regeneration, and damage.
