One big change is how items work. Blizzard has made it so that getting and using items is simpler. They’ve added new crafting systems called Tempering and Masterworking to make items more customizable.
They’ve also made it so that fewer items drop from monsters, so players spend less time sorting through them and more time-fighting.
In this new season, Diablo 4’s special events called Helltide events will be available all the time, but their difficulty will change depending on the world you’re in.
There’s also a new Threat Level that goes up as you fight enemies, making the game harder and bringing more surprises. When the Threat Level is high enough, players will face a very strong enemy called a Hellborn.
Another new challenge is The Pit, which is for groups of up to four players. After collecting enough Runeshards, players can enter The Pit and fight through many levels to earn valuable materials and rewards.

In Loot Reborn, players can also summon Andariel, a powerful boss, and fight Tormented Echo versions of all bosses if they’re at level 200. This requires Stygian Stones, which players can find in The Pit. There’s also a new quest called Iron Wolves, where players can earn special manuals.
Blizzard’s announcement has more details about all of this, including information about a new battle pass and premium cosmetics. The update will be available on May 14th at 6 pm BST/10 am PT.
