Dead by Daylight Update: The Skull Merchant’s Changes

The Skull Merchant, the most recent Killer in Dead by Daylight, will soon receive an update that aims to improve the Killer by addressing some of the issues players have had since the character’s release.

While from the perspective of the Survivors, some players feel the character excels too strongly at holding down a trio of generators, other players feel the character lacks power during chases and when it comes to Claw Traps.

The Skull Merchant is the current focus, but the update in question is expected to roll out sometime next week and include more changes than just these. The Skull Merchant will initially receive a Haste bonus for each Survivor who is being tracked by a drone or a Claw Trap, thanks to behavior.

Another modification to the chase will allow survivors to break both the pallet and the claw trap if they vault a pallet while being held back by a claw trap. While this modification does remove the claw trap, which is somewhat advantageous, it can also cause loops to end abruptly because there is no longer a pallet to vault over.

The Skull Merchant’s ability to control three or four generators will be less effective for the Survivors. The drones will no longer be immediately sent back to The Skull Merchant after being disabled; instead, they will only be returned after the corresponding Claw Traps have been deactivated.

Dead by Daylight share a tweet about a new update:

On the other hand, Claw Traps will now be instantly destroyed when their batteries run out so that players won’t encounter a scenario where Survivors hang onto their Claw Traps for a longer period than necessary to deny The Skull Merchant her drones.

If a Survivor is already harmed by a Claw Trap, they will also no longer be able to disable additional drones. Pallets breaking when someone with a Claw Trap vaults them is one of those changes, which was previously a side effect of an add-on called “Ultrasonic Trap Speaker.”

You can also look here for some other games updates:

The add-on gains a new effect now that the effect is a component of the character’s base equipment. In an active zone, Ultrasonic Trap Speaker now cuts down on the amount of time it takes for Undetectable to take effect by 50%, according to Behaviour.

The update for Dead by Daylight that is scheduled for next week will implement these changes.
