Many Baldur’s Gate 3 gamers are reporting a slew of new bugs following the game’s most recent update. Baldur’s Gate 3’s newest patch, which is regrettably generating tremendous annoyance, has included a slew of new features.
On February 16, Baldur’s Gate 3 received Patch 6, which included new kissing animations, simpler companion dismissal, more Legendary Actions for Honour Mode, new idle animations at camp, and other improvements.
This was Baldur’s Gate 3’s first big update since Patch 5 in November 2023, thus many fans were excited about the new content. However, several fans were unhappy because the update appeared to add many more faults than benefits.
Reddit user twili-midna expressed their dissatisfaction in a post to the Baldur’s Gate 3 subreddit titled “It’s genuinely unacceptable how broken Patch 6 is.” They noted that the update’s numerous game-breaking problems and loss of earlier features made the game significantly worse.
These troubles appear to be widespread, as several Reddit commentators stated that they are also experiencing major problems as a result of the recent update. According to one PlayStation 5 user, every character in the game, including friends and vendors, is now attacking them.

Users also point out that several earlier functionality, such as the ability to pick multiple products while trading or the “send to” specification, were purposely deleted with the most recent version, causing even more dissatisfaction among fans.
Regarding Patch 6’s issues, it’s unclear when fans may anticipate a patch, but ideally, it will arrive sooner rather than later. Patch 6 improved the survival chances of Gondian gnomes during combat in Act 3 of Baldur’s Gate 3, which was one of the game’s most difficult confrontations.
Patch 6 also added a ton of camp material to Baldur’s Gate 3. When everything is in order, camps, and companions should feel much more authentic as a result of new animations and other improvements.
Patch 6 has also made it easier for players to switch out party members in camp by removing many of the more superfluous stages.
Despite the update’s difficulties, Baldur’s Gate 3 maintained its awards show domination by winning another set of prizes at the AIAS’ annual DICE Awards last week. It received five prizes, including Game of the Year, Outstanding Achievement in Game Design, and Outstanding Achievement in Storytelling.
