Players may be visiting the Erdtree sooner than they think, as another hint about the Elden Ring DLC’s release date has been revealed.
We’re quickly approaching the second anniversary of Elden Ring’s release on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. Normally, this wouldn’t be so relevant, but it was around this time last year that FromSoftware said the 2022 GOTY winner would be subject to DLC titled Shadow of the Eritrea.
Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC Release Date
Even though no Elden Ring DLC release date has been announced, players have been freaking out ever since, and now there’s even more indication that it could arrive very soon.
In this case, we can thank Twitter user and Elden Ring content producer @Ziostorm1, who revealed in a post that Bandai Namco has recently updated both the American and European Elden Ring trailer playlists on YouTube.
The Bandai Namco EU Elden Ring playlist that includes trailers received an interesting update on Jan 4th.

In light of recent DLC news and rumors, this gets me very excited. *Perhaps* this update was the DLC trailer waiting to go live. pic.twitter.com/JWrpnm2S0u

The playlist was updated, but no new trailers appeared. The update occurred on Thursday, January 4, hinting that the publisher is preparing to reveal the Elden Ring DLC release date (or the DLC itself) via a new video.
We should take this new Shadow of the Erdtree clue with a grain of salt, but the move is also not trivial. Why would Bandai Namco change this otherwise harmless YouTube playlist if not to make room for an announcement or reveal?
If something of this kind is to come shortly, it will almost certainly happen on or around Elden Ring’s second anniversary on February 25, 2024.
