For Tarkov players of all skill levels, the Woods may be a difficult and frustrating map. Even Tarkov veterans have difficulty surviving in the dangerous Woods.
Breaking into the raid can be difficult, especially for players who are unfamiliar with the map’s characteristics. There will be even more PMCs to the north of the lake as a result of the recent expansion.
Escape From Tarkov Woods Map
Traveling from one location to another is difficult due to the vast woodlands that surround the map’s hot spots. Understanding the spawn sites and developing an early strategy will assist players in gaining advantageous positions on the map.
I have completed my 3D Woods map. You can download high res & mobile versions of it from https://t.co/86xXgzNWDs I have also provided the PSD so that you can make your own custom overlays for it if you like. I hope you like it. #EscapeFromTarkov #b3d pic.twitter.com/QPb2ns1Ews

Early VS Late Wipe
Many players’ attention is drawn to quests and objectives at the start of a wipe. This means that people will congregate around Scav spawning and other centers of interest. Many Scav spawning may be found at the heart of the lumber yard beneath the bay.
The great majority of people will favor treasure and PVP later in the wipe. Despite the fact that Woods is regarded as the spacious sniper map, survivors will gather in the congested spawn zones. Gamers must learn these zones through trial and error and map awareness.
PVP Hot Zones
In almost every raid, the Lumber Yard will be the most popular PVP hot zone. There will be PMCs battling in the region from a few minutes after spawn until the end game. Gamers who spawn there will have to either join the conflict or rotate out to loot up ahead of time.
The problem with Lumber early on is that there will be various dangers. At least a number of PMCs will instantly push Lumber. Survivors must also eliminate Scavs and potentially the Scav boss. Staying alive in the place might be hard when all three hazards are present at the same time.
Where To Loot
Woods is not one of Tarkov’s more desirable loot locations. Almost all of the precious stuff will be found at the Lumber Yard. A safe and a few jackets can be found in the cottages beneath the Lumber Yard.
There are various military boxes to loot in the Lumber warehouses. There is also a Violet Keycard directly below the bay in the Admin building. Killing the Scavs that spawn throughout the Lumber Yard is another dependable way to obtain riches.
The Sniper Rocks
There are five separate “sniper rocks” that surround the Lumber Yard and draw a large number of individuals in the middle to late game. Two of them are to the southeast and southwest of Lumber on the map, and two more are to the north. Another rock, slightly closer to Lumber, can be found to the west.
Each of these spots offers breathtaking views of the Lumber Yard and its surroundings. Players who wish to snipe should look for one of these tactical vantage positions. Other PMCs, however, are aware of the formations and will cycle in to inspect them. Any firing from the rocks will attract a large number of other survivors.

Bring The Right Equipment
It’s tempting to set up camp on one of the rocks and use a long sniper optic, but this can lead to trouble in Woods. Other PMCs will frequently push the rocks and other vital areas. Gamers must be able to fire at both medium and long ranges.
As a result, a changeable optic is a must-have on the map. When it comes to sniping points, versatility is essential. Close-range pistols will dissolve foes, but PMCs with long-range scopes will struggle at middle range.
Using Audio For Awareness And Positioning
The Woods’ sightlines are so long that players will want to record every gunshot mentally. For example, if PMCs are battling across the lake, a sniper threat from that location is possible.
Recognizing the noise and scanning the surroundings can also present an excellent PVP opportunity. Knowing where shots are launched and anticipated routes to Lumber reduces the likelihood of a flank or sudden pop shot.
