We’ve eagerly awaited Warhammer 40K: Darktide on Xbox for a while, and it’s exciting that it’s joining the October 2023 Xbox Game Pass lineup. But there hasn’t been much news about its arrival, so we’re here to share all the important details before it debuts on Xbox.
Warhammer 40K: Darktide Xbox Release Date
Warhammer 40K: Darktide is set to release on Xbox on October 4th, but in some countries, players can access it a bit earlier on October 3rd. The game will be ready for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S owners on the Xbox Store, and it’s also part of Xbox Game Pass.

Warhammer 40K: Darktide Xbox Release Time
Warhammer 40K: Darktide will be released on Xbox at 3 pm PT, 6 pm ET, and 11 pm BST on October 3rd. Check out the release times for different regions below:
Warhammer 40K: Darktide Xbox Preload
You can’t preload Warhammer 40K: Darktide on Xbox yet, so it’s not in the Xbox Game Pass app or downloadable early on the Xbox mobile app. We might have to wait until release day to start installing it. The download size will be about the same as the PC Game Pass version, which is 51.09GB.
Warhammer 40K: Darktide Price
There are two versions of Darktide you can get: the Standard one for $24.99 and the Imperial one for $39.99. If you have a Game Pass, you can play Darktide on the first day. The monthly cost for Game Pass is $9.99 for PC and Core and $16.99 for Ultimate.
Warhammer 40K Darktide Classes
Darktide has four classes: Psyker Psykinetic, Veteran-Sharpshooter, Ogryn Skullbreaker, and Zealot-Preacher. Each class has things it’s good at and things it’s not so good at. The Psyker is like a magic helper, doing damage to a bunch of enemies at once to help manage big groups. It can also push enemies away with its special move while dealing strong magic damage.
The Veteran-Sharpshooter is great at shooting enemies from far away. They use snipers, assault rifles, and laser guns. This class also has frag grenades that explode in a big area. The special move of the Veteran-Sharpshooter lets them do extra strong hits and be more accurate, but it makes them move slower.
Just like in many online games, Ogryn Skullbreaker is like a big, tough shield for the team. It’s way bigger than the other players and can take a lot of hits to keep everyone else safe, even though it moves a bit slow. People like using it because it has powerful weapons like big shotguns, huge grenades, and rocket launchers. And if you want to get a bit old-school, you can even use shields and clubs.
The Zealot-Preacher is super popular in Warhammer 40K Darktide because it can do both close-up fighting with melee attacks and shoot with its auto pistol. It’s even better because it can deal more damage as the enemy loses health. This class is all about being aggressive, and when its health is low, it goes into full berserker mode.
Is Warhammer 40K: Darktide Available on Xbox One?
Warhammer 40K: Darktide can’t be played directly on Xbox One. But there’s hope it might be on Xbox Cloud Gaming. If that happens, Xbox One users can still play it by streaming through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
