If you play games on your PC, follow these steps:
1️⃣ Open the Honkai Star Rail launcher.
2️⃣ Click the Pre-Installation button for the game.
3️⃣ Then, click the Get Now button to begin downloading the game.
4️⃣ Once the download is finished, the game will install independently.
If you’re using a mobile phone to play Honkai Star Rail 1.2, follow these steps:
1️⃣ Open the game and get to the screen where you log in.
2️⃣ On this screen, find a button at the bottom-right corner that says “Resource pre-download” and tap on it.
3️⃣ Choose all the things you want to download in advance.
4️⃣ Start the download. Once it’s done, the updates will be applied automatically.
Honkai Star Rail 1.3 Pre-Download File Size
As usual, whether playing on a PC or another device, you must ensure enough space for the pre-download. If you’re playing on a PC, you must download about 9.62 GB of stuff. To use this, you’ll need even more space, around 20.51 GB, to unpack it.

Honkai Star Rail 1.3 Update: What to Expect
