Some say that Rockstar might tell us about the next game this year. Grand Theft Auto 5 and Online will be 10 years old soon, so Rockstar might use that time to tell us when GTA 6 will come out.
GTA 6 Announcement is Rumored for September or October
In September 2022, big leaks about GTA 6 gave fans an early sneak peek of the game. Fans are now excited and waiting for Rockstar Games to say something about it officially.
The game might be shown to the public in either September or October 2023.

Tez2, who knows much about Grand Theft Auto, also discussed this in 2023. They thought that Rockstar might pick the 10th birthday of GTA 5 and GTA Online to tell everyone about the new game. This could happen through a special event inside the existing game.
The company that makes Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive, said they predict they’ll make a lot of money in 2025. Strauss Zelnick (boss of Take-Two) is sure they’ll do super well in 2025.
They didn’t say exactly why they think that, but it’s possible that the new game GTA 6 could make around $8 billion. Since 2025 covers most of 2024 and the beginning of 2025, there’s a good chance that the new Grand Theft Auto game might be released in 2024.
If that turns out to be true, Rockstar Games will probably share the game’s name officially in the next few months. Then they’ll use the time until they release the game to advertise and promote it.
No matter when Grand Theft Auto 6 is released, it could become one of the most popular games ever. Recently, many reports have said that the budget for making GTA 6 might be as high as one billion dollars or even more.
GTA 5 and its online version made money in the past ten years. This means Rockstar Games has a lot of money to use. They might use this money to make cool things for the new game, like the talked-about GTA 6 face recognition feature.
But right now, Rockstar and Take-Two haven’t said anything about this. So, we should be careful not to believe these rumors completely.
