Alan Wake 2, a video game that fans have been waiting for, will take a bit longer before it’s ready. The game’s release date has been moved from October 17 to October 27.
In a statement to the press, the company Remedy Entertainment didn’t give a specific technical explanation for the delay. They just mentioned, “October is an amazing month for game launches and we hope this date shift gives more space for everyone to enjoy their favorite games.”

This probably means that Alan Wake 2 was initially going to come out just three days before two other big games, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Super Mario Bros: Wonder, which is set to be released on October 20.
But now, the release date for Alan Wake 2 has been moved to a week later, so players will have more time to play any of these games without them all coming out simultaneously.
What to Expect From Alan Wake 2?
Alan Wake 2 takes place 13 years after the first game. It’s about two main characters: Alan Wake, who is a writer, and Saga Anderson, who is an FBI agent. Saga is trying to solve a murder in the Pacific Northwest.
Alan has been stuck in a terrifying place called The Dark Place since the end of the first game. In the game, you can switch between playing as Alan and Saga. You can choose to play more of one character’s story. This time, the game is about surviving scary situations, so it’s a survival horror game.

How to pre-order Alan Wake 2?
Alan Wake 2 is coming out on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC through the Epic Games Store. If you’re a fan and want to ensure you get it as soon as it’s out, you can order it on the platform you like the most.
If you do that, you’ll also get special extras like music, an art book, and a cool look for your PS5. And guess what? This game will let people play together using a PlayStation, Xbox, or computer.
