Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the upcoming instalment of the popular stealth-action franchise set in ninth-century Baghdad, is getting a unique accessory to enhance the game’s immersion.
Ubisoft has partnered with OWO, a company specializing in haptic technology, to create a haptic gaming suit that will let players feel the sensations of the game on their bodies.
The haptic gaming suit is a wireless vest that covers the upper body and arms of the wearer. It has 10 haptic feedback zones that can simulate 30 different sensations, such as punches, stabs, wind, fire, and even bugs crawling on the skin.
The suit is designed to match the actions and environment of the game’s protagonist, Basim, a young assassin who joins the Brotherhood to fight against the Templars. The suit also has a unique Assassin’s Creed Mirage theme, with the game’s logo and the setting’s colours.
It comes with a digital copy of the game for PC, PS5, or Xbox Series X/S and can be controlled via a smartphone app that allows users to adjust the intensity and preferences of the feedback. The suit is compatible with games that support OWO’s haptic system, such as Fortnite and Half-Life: Alyx.

According to Ubisoft, the haptic gaming suit will “incorporate some exclusive sensations never felt before” by OWO users. These could include the feeling of parkour movements, such as climbing, jumping, and rolling, and the iconic leap of faith that Assassin’s Creed fans are familiar with. The suit will also react to the sounds and music of the game, creating a more immersive experience.

The haptic gaming suit is expected to launch soon, along with Assassin’s Creed Mirage, scheduled for October 12, 2023. The price of the case has not been revealed yet, but it is likely to be around $500, based on OWO’s previous products. This could be a worthwhile investment for those who want to feel like they are in ninth-century Baghdad.
