Josephy Staten shares a tweet: “Hey folks, I am indeed leaving Microsoft. I’ll have more info to share soon, but for now, I’d just like to thank all my  @Xbox colleagues for all their understanding and support as I embark on a new adventure.”

In August 2020, Staten switched from the Halo Infinite production team at 343 Industries to Xbox’s worldwide publishing division. By that time, the game had already been postponed from its initial November 2020 release date to 2021.

Infinite had significant post-launch issues, including campaign co-op and Forge mode delays that delayed their release until November 2022, but he assisted in getting the game out the door in December 2021.
