Miami: E11even to Become GTA VI’s Nine1Nine Club for a Night on Nov. 6

E11even, the downtown Miami nightclub, is promoting a “Nine1Nine Vice City Grand Opening,” a nod to the fictional club advertised in the first Grand Theft Auto VI trailer. The club’s website lists Flo Rida at E11even on Nov. 6, 2026, and gaming site GTA BOOM reported that the club will take on the Nine1Nine name that night.

The timing puts the party 13 days before Grand Theft Auto VI comes out. Rockstar Games’ site lists the game as coming on Nov. 19, 2026.

Where the Nine1Nine joke started

The first Grand Theft Auto VI trailer, released on Dec. 4, 2023, showed an airplane banner reading “Nine1Nine: Why Sixty Nine When You Can Nine 1 Nine,” according to a December 2023 post on E11even’s own site. The club answered by flying its own banner: “When Nine 1 Nine = E11even.”

“I quickly called the fly-banner company and flew it the next day,” Eddie Franco, E11even’s director of marketing, said in that post. He also said he did not know for sure whether the game’s Nine 1 Nine was meant to stand in for E11even.

E11even’s website does not say whether Rockstar is involved in the Nov. 6, 2026, night. GTA BOOM reported that it is not an official Rockstar Games event.

Part of a wider Vice City push in Miami

The club night lands as Rockstar’s own marketing spreads across the city. Miami-Dade County announced a $3.9 million marketing agreement with Rockstar, WLRN reported on Oct. 29, 2026. The agreement includes a “Welcome to Vice City” sign on top of the Kaseya Center and themed displays at Miami International Airport and promotional lighting at PortMiami, according to the station.

E11even is at 29 NE 11th Street in downtown Miami, according to the club’s website, which sells tickets and table reservations for the night.
