Apex Gameplay Trailer
The trailer introduces Season 15’s first legend, Catalyst, and gives gamers a taste of the action that’s to come. Catalyst’s abilities, which include blinding Seer so that she can’t scan enemies behind a wall and stopping other legend attacks with her weaponized ferrofluid, contradict recent assertions by Respawn that anti-scan legends were unlikely to be included in the foreseeable future.
Catalyst can create a wall of ferrofluid that is impenetrable by Seers, but that’s not all she can do with it. Between the Eclipse reveal trailer and the new gameplay trailer, we’ve seen Catalyst use her ferrofluid to “glue” doors shut, “stick” enemies to the ground, and shield herself and her team from sight.
It appears from the trailer that Catalyst can fire off a handful of ferrofluid at doors, somewhat reinforcing them and buying her team some much-needed time to reorganize, reload, or retreat. Catalyst locks her squad inside a building in the trailer, while Caustic and Wraith fight to break through the doors from the outside. Even if it’s only for a few seconds, being able to lock doors would be a helpful skill to have in addition to her gigantic wall of ferrofluid.
The clip didn’t just showcase Catalyst, though; it also showed off the new Broken Moon zone. Cleo, a moon of Boreus (which both Catalyst and Seer refer to as come) is the location of the new map. This wasn’t the first time players that solved the Golden Ticket teaser saw the updated map, but it did feature some fresh points of interest. The countdown timer screen has been showing us some of the game’s breathtaking locales even before the video began.
Eclipse combat pass was featured in the gameplay trailer as well. The new battle pass is described as “cybernetic” in the clip, and it includes skins for Loba, Seer, Ash, and Revenant, among others. Of course, the 110-level Eclipse battle pass will feature a great deal more material than the video could possibly portray, but gamers will learn more about the battle pass when the trailer becomes live.
Those looking to get a jump on the competition should check out the blog article referenced in the teaser, which lays out the specifics of the new Broken Moon map. In any case, you should probably just finish the Hunted battle pass before it expires. On Tuesday, November 1 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET, Season 15 of Apex Legends, titled “Eclipse,” will officially launch.
On both PC and console, you may play Apex Legends without spending a dime. Apex Legends Mobile may be downloaded for free on Android and iOS mobile devices.
