New games are added to the Xbox Game Pass service each month, and players of all skill levels may enjoy a wide variety of titles from Microsoft’s constantly rotating library. These can include games from well-known, enduring franchises. Occasionally, games from Microsoft’s first-party studios are included at no extra cost when they premiere, making Game Pass one of the best gaming offers available.

Depending on the service tier they are enrolled in, players can play in a multitude of ways with the majority of Game Pass titles, which are compatible with Xbox consoles, PCs, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. Even though Game Pass Ultimate includes everything, individuals who only wish to play on PCs or consoles can still get access to the games with separate memberships.

What Games Are Joining Game Pass in January 2024?

January 2024 Will See the Addition of 10 New Titles. Microsoft has revealed the initial roster of games that will be included in its Game Pass memberships beginning in 2024 on the Xbox website. Even though there aren’t any games that premiere on day one, this month’s lineup offers a wide variety of genres that are sure to please a wide range of different types of players.

These include the action-roguelike twin-stick shooter Go Mecha Ball, the horror-adventure video game Close to the Sun, and the first-person shooter Hell Let Loose, which can be played online. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, a massive open-world game from Ubisoft, will debut on January 19 as part of Game Pass, while the much-awaited Resident Evil 2 remake from 2019 will debut on January 16.

Compulsion Games’ dystopian action-adventure game We Happy Few, which was taken down from Game Pass a year ago, will also be returning to the service.

Super Mega Baseball 4 will also be accessible with a Game Pass membership from EA Play. As part of their membership advantages, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Game Pass for PC subscribers can no longer purchase EA’s subscription service as of November 2020.

The following games will all be available on Game Pass in January 2024:

What Games Are Leaving Game Pass in January 2024?

As usual, Microsoft has revealed that certain games would be deleted from Game Pass during the first half of the month, despite the fact that so many new titles are being added. Grand Theft Auto 5, the open-world criminal epic from Rockstar Games, will conclude its third Xbox Game Pass tour after previously appearing on the service from April to August 2021 and January to May 2020.

Game Pass Daily shared a post on Twitter:

Following the game’s December 2023 enrollment in the PlayStation Plus Extra program, this removal has occurred. Additionally, Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable, which were part of the subscription for a year, will no longer be available.

Nevertheless, when Persona 3 Reload—Atlus’ reimagining of Persona 3—launches in February, it will be available on Game Pass. Anyway, Game Pass customers can use their membership discount to save up to 20% on these titles to retain them in their libraries before they are taken down.

The following titles will all be removed from Game Pass in January 2024:

Title Platform Date Leaving
Grand Theft Auto 5 Cloud, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X January 5
Garden Story Cloud, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, PC January 15

Persona 3 Portable Cloud, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, PC January 15
Persona 4 Golden Cloud, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, PC January 15
