It’s a new month, so Xbox Game Pass is changing its game lineup. Some games will be leaving the service soon. We don’t have the official list from Microsoft yet, but it’s likely these games will be gone on September 15th.
Microsoft will tell us about the new Xbox Game Pass games for the first half of September 2023 on Tuesday, September 5, or around that time. They’ll also say which games will be taken off the service on September 15. Some of these games might be removed on September 30 instead, so remember to check if you like any of them.
In September 2023, nine games will be taken off Xbox Game Pass. These games are Train Sim World 3: Standard Edition, Metal: Hellsinger, Fuga: Melodies of Steel, Civilization 6, Tainted Grail: Conquest, Aragami 2, Amazing Cultivation Simulator, DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace, and Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony Anniversary Edition.
If you check the “Leaving Soon” section on Xbox Game Pass, you might notice that Metal: Hellsinger is listed twice because it has different versions for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.

Civilization 6 is a famous strategy game. The version on consoles wasn’t as liked as the one on PCs, but it’s still unfortunate that it’s being taken off the service. Also, the Danganronpa series has many fans, and they will be upset that Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony Anniversary Edition is being removed from Xbox Game Pass.
In September 2023, Xbox Game Pass is getting some cool new games like Starfield, Lies of P (a game similar to Souls), and Payday 3. Even though eight other games will be leaving Xbox Game Pass in September 2023, gamers still have plenty of fun games to enjoy.
