Since its release, the console has been nearly tough to purchase, albeit it is becoming more widely available. Stock still disappears from shelves at a faster rate than stores can replenish it, but it’s also showing up in stores at a record rate of speedier than ever before.
Unfortunately, the PlayStation 5 is not yet widely available, as we had anticipated it will be by the start of 2023. You’ll need to stay on the lookout if you want to buy a console soon, as restocks are happening frequently but inconsistently.
But, Sony has assured us that the situation is improving, claiming that it is now providing an increased supply of PS5 systems and that fans “should now have a much easier time obtaining one at shops internationally” in advance of the introduction of the PlayStation VR2 headset.

The PlayStation 5 comes in two different variations. The normal PS5 retails for $499/£479, while the Digital Edition without a Blu-ray drive retails for $399/£389; note that the UK prices are £30 higher than they used to be because of a price hike; fortunately, US customers have not been affected. Where to Buy a PlayStation 5
The PlayStation 5 console is in high demand, and whenever it is restocked, it sells out nearly immediately. You’ll need luck and speed if you want to get one right now.
The only way to get your hands on a Switch is to sign up for an invitation, which will be given out in waves as stock becomes available (even on Amazon). You’ll have three days from the time the invite is delivered to make the purchase. Visit Amazon’s PS5 listing and select the yellow “Request Invitation” option to improve your chances in the future.
Sony’s PlayStation Direct store also offers pre-orders for the PS5. Fans in the UK, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg can now take advantage of this as well, joining those in the US. You’ll need to sign up with your PSN ID and cross your fingers that you’ll receive an email with more information on how to buy a console when the firm sells out of its limited supply.
The game system appears to be temporarily out of stock everywhere else. Hopefully, we’ve seen the worst of the shortages, but given that the PS5 is just one aspect of a wider industry-wide chip shortage, it’s possible that they’ll persist for most of this year. Yet, supply reappears briefly at a number of stores, so regular checks are still needed.

The PlayStation 5 is also being auctioned off by private sellers on eBay, though we recommend purchasing from official Sony channels to prevent any unnecessary hassles or inflated costs. StockX, another marketplace auction site, is also selling the PS5, but as with eBay, we recommend only buying from reputable dealers.
Both BT and EE offer the console to clients in the United Kingdom, however, supply is restricted. PlayStation 5 orders may be placed through MyBT for BT subscribers, while PS5 orders can be placed through EE and the cost can be divided up over the course of a monthly mobile plan for EE customers. Via EE’s Add to Plan service, you may spread the cost of your new phone across 11 monthly payments without incurring any interest. Customers of BT and EE should keep an eye on supply levels in anticipation of new availability, as these deals aren’t open to everyone.
