Spider-man 2 Ps5 Villains: Venom and Kraven are expected to join the already formidable cast of villains in Insomniac’s Spider-Man universe in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Insomniac has seen great success with its Spider-Man games, both Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Having formidable foes for Peter and Miles to fight in both games was a welcome addition.
Due to Spider-long Man’s history, Insomniac should have had no trouble coming up with compelling antagonists for both games. Spider-roster Man’s villains are among the largest in comic book history, and many of his adversaries, such as Doctor Octopus and the Green Goblin, are still widely recognized as cultural icons.
Since Insomniac has barely scratched the surface of villains for Spider-Man to face, more of the wall-rogue crawler’s gallery should enter the fray in the upcoming Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 game.
There are still quite a few bad guys for Peter and Miles to face in the two Insomniac Spider-Man games, and the developer has already revealed a couple more foes set to factor into their universe.
The extensive list of enemies in both games can be difficult to remember, even for seasoned players. All the bad guys from Insomniac’s Spider-Man games up to this point are included, along with those from the upcoming Spider-Man 2 game.

The Green Goblin: The Villain of Spider-Man 2 (Norman Osborn)
Although Norman Osborn hasn’t taken on the Green Goblin character in Insomniac‘s Spider-Man games, that hasn’t stopped him from causing issues for Spider-Man. Both Mister Negative and Doctor Octopus’ nefarious goals stem from Norman’s fixation on the Devil’s Breath serum, and Norman is also to blame for sending the ruthless Silver Sable and her mercenary soldiers to the city.
Post-credits scenes in both Marvel’s Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Miles Morales reveal that Norman Osborn is willing to risk his son Harry’s health in the name of treating Harry by allowing an unknown symbiote material to interact with Harry.
Mister Negative, Enemy No. 1 in the Spider-Man 2 Video Game (Martin Li)
In the Spider-Man reality, when Martin Li was just seven years old, his parents took him to Oscorp for medical advice about a mysterious illness. Martin’s parents were killed in an explosion after Norman Osborn injected Li with the Devil’s Breath serum he was researching, triggering an unanticipated response that gave Li sinister powers.
The main plot of Marvel’s Spider-Man involves Mister Negative utilizing his powers/Inner Demons criminal organization to get revenge on Norman, however, the game ends with Spider-Man defeating Li and sending the villain to the Raft, suggesting that he could return as a villain in Spider-Man 2.
Doctor Octopus, the Antagonist of Spider-Man 2 (Otto Octavius)
Doctor Octavius starts Marvel’s Spider-Man as the boss and mentor to Peter Parker, but later melts into the villainous Doc Ock and plans on making Norman Osborn accountable for his involvement with the Devil’s Breath treatment.
Doctor Octopus releases a handful of supervillains out of the Raft and establishes the Sinister Six, commissioning them to assist him to target all of Osborn’s properties throughout the city, releasing the Devil’s Breath upon the inhabitants, and making Osborn reveal his wrongdoings.
At the conclusion of Marvel’s Spider-Man, Spider-Man and Doc Ock engage in an epic battle atop Oscorp Tower, where the latter ultimately succumbs to Spider-superior Man’s web-slinging skills and has his mechanical limbs removed before being brought to the Raft for imprisonment. The return of Doc Ock is not confirmed for Spider-Man 2, although it is possible.

Scorpion, Enemy Number One in Spider-Man 2 (Mac Gargan)
Several crimes, including robbery and kidnapping, were committed by Mac Gargan after he was transformed into the mech-wearing Scorpion during an experiment unexpectedly funded by J. Jonah Jameson. Scorpion is also detailed as one of the first supervillains that Spider-Man confronted in his web-slinging career.
The villain acts as one of the members of the Sinister Six after Doc Ock breaks him out of the Raft in Marvel’s Spider-Man. Near the end of the game, Rhino and Scorpion team up to take on Spider-Man, but they end up fighting each other, getting trapped in a shipping container, and being sent back to prison, all of which means they might be around for Spider-Man 2.
Shocker, the Villain in Spider-Man 2 (Herman Schultz)
The shocker was originally inventor Herman Schultz, who became an infamous burglar after utilizing his shock-releasing gauntlets to battle Spider-Man on many occasions. Shocker is coerced into bank robbery by Mister Negative’s Inner Demons in Marvel’s Spider-Man.
Shocker is apprehended by Spider-Man after a bank heist, but the Inner Demons break him out and dispatch him on another heist. Another villain is vanquished by Spider-Man, and this time we learn of his connection to Mister Negative; Shocker is then transferred to the Raft, where he will be kept safely imprisoned.
Spider-Man 2 Game Villain – Rhino (Aleksei Sytsevich) (Aleksei Sytsevich)
After an experimental fighting suit was grafted to Aleksei Sytsevich’s flesh, he adopted the moniker “Rhino,” and fought Spider-Man on many occasions before the web-slinger finally defeated him and sent him to the Raft. After a disastrous team-up with Scorpion, Doc Ock recruits Rhino into the Sinister Six by promising to help him get rid of both his costume and his criminal record.
Rhino appears also in Spider-Man: Miles Morales in the initial moments after he breaks out of the Raft, and later on after Roxxon hires him as an enforcer and outfits him with new armor to protect against Miles’ powers.
Kingpin, the game’s antagonist, from Spider-Man 2 (Wilson Fisk)
In Marvel’s Spider-Man, the Kingpin makes a brief physical appearance as the tutorial boss battle before Spider-Man and the police collaborate to apprehend the villain. Despite defeating Kingpin and sending him to the Raft, his criminal influence and hired goons remain a continual thorn in Spider-side Man’s throughout the rest of the game.
There is a brief cameo appearance by Kingpin in Miles Morales, during a phone discussion between Wilson Fisk and the young Miles, in which Kingpin threatens Miles after he foils Fisk’s criminal schemes in Harlem.
The Vulture, the main antagonist of Spider-Man 2 (Adrian Toomes)
Electronics engineer Adrian Toomes took to crime as the Vulture, using his advanced technology wings to fly at fast speeds. For criminal reasons, he fought Spider-Man at least twice a dozen times before getting battered and being committed to the Raft for the remainder of his life.
After being diagnosed with spinal cancer brought on by his artificial wings, Vulture is encouraged to join the Sinister Six by Doc Ock in Marvel’s Spider-Man.
Electro and the Vulture band up to fight Spider-Man, but the villains are ultimately beaten, and Electro is subsequently jailed. In Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Peter sets up a training mission for Miles, in which the Vulture makes a holographic presence and delivers comedic lines.
Electro, the Villian in Spider-Man 2 (Max Dillon)
After an unspecified injury gave Max Dillon the ability to absorb electricity and shoot it at his enemies, Dillon transformed into the super-criminal known as Electro. In Marvel’s Spider-Man, he first appears after Doc Ock recruits him to the Sinister Six and promises to aid Electro in his quest to become a form of pure, living energy.
Electro is eventually beaten by Spider-Man during his team-up with Vulture, and Spider-Man leaves the villain webbed up for the cops to transport back to the Raft.

Silver Sable, Enemy from Spider-Man 2 Video Game (Silver Sablinova)
Silver Sable appears in Marvel’s Spider-Man as Norman Osborn’s personal security detail, and the nature of her and Spider-relationship Man’s begins off adversarial as she places him on her target list after the Sinister Six and other convicts escape from the Raft.
Once Sable understands that Spider-Man is attempting to stop Doctor Octopus, Mister Negative, and the rest of the supervillains, she calls a ceasefire. After heading back to her home country of Symkaria at the end of Insomniac’s game, Silver Sable reappears in The City That Never Sleeps DLC to aid Spider-Man to regain the stolen Sable tech that Hammerhead stole to empower his mafia, and she could reappear in Spider-Man 2.
Taskmaster, the game’s villain, appears in Spider-Man 2.
The minor enemy Taskmaster appears in the Marvel series Spider-Man to spy on Spider-Man and maybe recruit him into an unknown organization by mimicking his opponents’ attack habits. To ambush Spider-Man and use his abilities against him, Taskmaster sets up a series of physical obstacles across the city of New York.
As soon as Spider-Man dispatches Taskmaster for the second time, the mercenary explains why he’s been following Spidey and vanishes into thin air, maybe to return as an antagonist in the Spider-Man 2 video game.
Tombstone, the Game Villain of Spider-Man 2 (Lonnie Lincoln)
Mister Negative hires the virtually invulnerable Tombstone, head of a biker gang, to construct an armored personnel carrier for him in Marvel’s Spider-Man.
From Spider-side Man’s missions, he learns that Tombstone has been using the money supplied to him by Mister Negative to buy the same chemicals that give him his powers and create a compound dubbed Grave Dust to give members of his gang the same effects. During an intense struggle, Spider-Man defeats Tombstone after creating a counter-drug to Grave Dust and using it on him.
Hammerhead, the Game Villain of “Spider-Man 2” (Joseph Martello)
This enemy, Hammerhead, can only be found in the downloadable content for Marvel’s Spider-Man. Following a near-death experience as a child, a surgeon implanted a steel plate in his cranium, making his skull appear to be bulletproof. Hammerhead, a member of the criminal organization known as the Maggia, spends much of the first game attempting to restore the group’s honor.
As Spider-Man, Black Cat, and others keep getting in his way, though, he starts to lose his mind. Spider-Man and Silver Sable use a laser to penetrate Hammerhead’s tough skull, and then Silver Sable crashes her plane into the villain, thereby ending the fight.

The Evil Screwball, from Spider-Man 2 (Unknown Identity)
Insomniac’s Spider-Man universe has a minor character named Screwball, a criminal who is fixated on her online popularity and constantly checks her viewership. She uses Spider-Man to boost her follower count, tricking him into completing dangerous challenges while she streams his acts of heroism on her channel.
After Spider-Man and Miles defeat Screwball in The City That Never Sleeps DLC, they hand her over to the police so that she may be arrested. However, she may return as a playable antagonist in the Spider-Man 2 video game.
Black Cat, Enemy of Spider-Man 2 (Felicia Hardy)
Black Cat is a master thief who had an affair and business association with Peter Parker before Peter found out she was robbed again and she departed New York. Black Cat heavily plays into the DLC for Marvel’s Spider-Man, showing up to steal data drives for Hammerhead and the Maggia to keep the villain from killing her son (who might be Spider-kid).
Man’s In order to take Maggia’s fortune for herself, Black Cat used Spider-concern Man’s for her “kid” as a ruse to convince him to assist her in stealing Hammerhead’s personal drive. Black Cat’s plans are discovered by Hammerhead, and he tries to murder her by setting off an explosion, but she returns a few days later to provide Spider-Man with the motivation he needs to finally defeat Hammerhead.
Video Game Bad Guy The Tinkerer in Spider-Man 2 (Phin Mason)
Insomniac decided to connect the Tinkerer to Miles through his feminine childhood friend Phin Mason, making him a far cry from the elderly man depicted in the comics. Phin joined the revolutionary Underground after the death of her brother Rick in an exploding Nuform reactor that Simon Krieger locked him with. She also supplied the Underground with new biotech weapons.
She gives the team a task to bring down Roxxon and exact revenge on Simon Krieger, earning her the moniker Tinkerer in the process. Tragically, Phin gives her life to save Harlem from a hazardous Nuform reactor by flying Miles high above the city, but she pays the ultimate price for her heroic gesture. As a result, we probably won’t see the Tinkerer in Spider-Man 2 save in flashbacks.
The Prowler, the Game’s Main Villain in Spider-Man 2 (Aaron Davis)
Aaron Davis is the criminal known as the Prowler and uncle of Miles Morales, however, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales starts out with Aaron as a subway worker trying to put his criminal past behind him. In the game’s later stages, Aaron once again dons the Prowler’s mask and begins working for Roxxon under the condition that Simon Krieger never puts Miles in harm’s way.
The Prowler eventually turns his back on Roxxon and assists Miles in his mission to save Harlem, going so far as to surrender at the game’s conclusion and handing over all of his evidence against Roxxon and Krieger in exchange for a reduced sentence.
Simon Krieger, the main antagonist of Spider-Man 2
Simon Krieger, the head of research and development of the sinister Roxxon Corporation, serves as Spider-Man: Miles Morales’ main enemy. Because of his greed, Krieger developed Nuform energy at Roxxon despite warnings concerning the resource’s instability.
Along the process, the Roxxon agent conducted various heinous crimes, including effectively condemning Phin’s brother to death, torturing Miles against Prowler’s desires, and altering the specification of a supercharged Nuform reactor to destroy all of Harlem. After Aaron Davis exposes Krieger for all of his misdeeds, he is jailed at the end of Spider-Man: Miles Morales, suggesting that he may return as a villain in the Spider-Man 2 video game.
Venom, the Game Villian in Spider-Man 2
Venom was officially unveiled as one of the new characters that will participate in Peter and Miles’ new journey in the first official video for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 presented during Sony’s PlayStation Showcase.
Post-credits scenes in earlier games hinted that Harry Osborn will play host to Venom in Insomniac’s Spider-Man universe. When the sequel releases in 2023, it will be interesting to see Insomniac’s take on Venom and whether or not he will be a net positive or negative influence.
Kraven the Hunter, Enemy No. 1 in the Spider-Man 2 Video Game (Sergei Kravenoff)
Kraven Although Insomniac has yet to give The Hunter an official visual debut, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 trailer featured his narration. The Russian-born villain seems to be hoping that either Peter or Miles can provide a meaningful challenge in the upcoming game.
It will be interesting to see how Kraven and any other villains Insomniac may want to incorporate in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 affect the tale.
