While the core community quickly disregards the majority of these, others find traction online and are perpetuated in discussions surrounding the title’s release. Unfortunately, for those hoping for further information, the vast 2022 GTA 6 leak that disclosed 90 early alpha footage of the game is most likely the most accurate information regarding the next GTA entry.
The new game will have a male and female protagonist and will be set in the same or a comparable locale as Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. It’s still entertaining to look back at all of the most bizarre rumors over the years, even if they lack convincing evidence.

According to the rumors, Rockstar Games will reveal GTA 6 on October 26, 2023. According to the anonymous source, the trailer was about one and a half minutes long, and they viewed it twice.

Entire Countries Will Be Included in GTA 6
While GTA 6 is anticipated to be the biggest Grand Theft Auto game yet, the GTA Project America’s claims about extended country maps are unlikely to be genuine. While the thought of Miami, Rio de Janeiro, and Cuba being included is more plausible, the idea of entire countries in North and South America being included is unlikely.
There was even a brief rumor that the city of London would be featured, though no evidence of that site has emerged since the story began. After all, Rockstar is already known for creating enormous open-world titles, and the kind of detail required to delve into the entire United States or South America would be nearly hard to achieve, especially with the amount of development time GTA 6 has undoubtedly had.
The game will take place in a fictionalized Miami-Dade area with additional boroughs, similar to Vice City. There may still be opportunities to visit locations outside of the central metropolis, such as Caribbean islands, though this has not been confirmed as of writing.
GTA Map Leaks
There have been numerous GTA map leaks throughout the years, with various variations of the future game’s map disclosed by anonymous users and well-known online speculators. Unfortunately for keen fans of the franchise, the game map is one of the things left out of the enormous 2022 GTA leak, but that hasn’t stopped a slew of others from “leaking” it online.

So far, the majority, if not all, of the map leaks depicting an excellent GTA 6 map have proven to be fan-created. One such instance saw a user create the GTA 6 map using reference video from the 2022 leaks, which is likely the most accurate representation.
Cryptic T-Shirt Will Reveal All
While decoding sophisticated mathematical ciphers isn’t a frequent activity for predicting game release information, that’s precisely where GTA community members found themselves in 2023 when Rockstar revealed what appeared to be a cipher on an in-game T-shirt.
Unfortunately for GTA investigators, this turned out to be a benign statement saying, “one day will reveal all,” referring to the Grand Theft Auto Online San Andreas Mercenaries DLC.

While it’s plausible that GTA 6 may span multiple periods, as it appears to be Rockstar’s most ambitious project to date, claims that the next GTA game will contain time travel are unlikely to be genuine.
While the Grand Theft Auto franchise has included some very bizarre missions ranging from aliens to Bigfoot, it isn’t easy to believe that the franchise would make such a significant jump into the science fiction field for the leading franchise.
Instead, it’s more likely that the primary storyline for GTA 6 will feature multiple different periods, with players free to pursue tasks over the various decades. While this is just a rumor, it’s a lot more plausible than Marty McFly from Back to the Future teleporting back in time.
Fake Release Dates And Voice Memos In GTA 6
Fake voice memos from Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick surfaced online, saying that the GTA 6 teaser would be released in October 2023, with the game releasing the following year somewhere in 2024.
However, according to GameRant, these voice recordings were most likely phony and manufactured by AI. While there is some merit to a probable GTA 6 trailer or announcement in October, it is based on previous Rockstar announcements rather than voice memo leaks.

While it’s entertaining to dissect every piece of promotional art released by Rockstar Games, chances are it’s a futile attempt. While Rockstar may tease the new title in existing art or games, gleaning much more than “GTA 6 will release in the future” is improbable.

Sure, you can zoom in 600% like a CSI agent to find microscopic minutiae or a Roman numeral somewhere in the image. Still, it doesn’t and probably never will provide any more context to individuals looking for more information about the game.
GTA 6 Is Only Available in VR
The prospect of having to purchase a VR headset in order to enjoy the next chapter in the GTA franchise is perplexing, but it was previously claimed that GTA 6 would be a spin-off and VR game.
While it’s feasible that a game like Grand Theft Auto 6 would incorporate VR integration in the Future (which would be awesome), the idea that it will be limited to VR platforms is ludicrous. After all, with such a large audience currently enjoying GTA Online and a relatively small cross-section of people owning VR headsets, it wouldn’t make financial sense for Take-Two, so we can definitely dismiss this claim.
