Fans of the BioShock franchise have been anticipating Ken Levine’s follow-up game for ten years; we now know it will be released between now and March 2025.
Since his critically acclaimed 2013 game BioShock Infinite, Ken Levine hasn’t put out a new title. However, at The Game Awards 2022, he finally revealed his next project: Judas, a sci-fi first-person shooter in the vein of BioShock.
The Judas announcement trailer was amazing, including cutting-edge graphics and gameplay similar to those of BioShock. Judas may not be a brand-new BioShock game, but it appears to satisfy the same craving.
It appears that BioShock fans have a lot to look forward to in the years ahead between Judas and the BioShock 4 game that is now in development. Although there is no official release date for Judas as of this writing, fans now know when they may anticipate it.
Take-Two President Strauss Zelnick acknowledged Judas as one of the 87 titles the business intends to release between the current fiscal year and the fiscal year 2025 in an interview with IGN.
If there are no delays in the release schedule, Judas will be accessible by March 2025. Zelnick, though, told IGN that he does not believe a release date will be announced.
Zelnick recognized that there is always a chance of release date changes, but he said, “Right now, we feel incredibly comfortable. […] I have high hopes for consistently bringing top titles to the market.”
Beyond what was seen in its first teaser, not much is known about Judas, but in the months and years to come, fans should be treated to more trailers, gameplay reveals, and other things.

Depending on exactly where Judas will release in Take-2023 Twos to 2025 projection, the frequency of these updates will probably change. Fans might have to wait quite a time to hear an update on the project if it’s closer to March 2025.
One has to assume that Take-Two will make sure Judas is released at a time when it isn’t immediately followed by any other significant releases that are forthcoming.
For example, Take-Two probably won’t want to release any of its next games too soon to the launch of Grand Theft Auto 6, and it might especially want to make sure that the Judas release date is not too close to that of BioShock 4.
If BioShock 4 is anything like the other games, it’ll probably share a lot of similarities with Judas. It wouldn’t be beneficial for either game to release two games with comparable styles so close together because that could cause their sales to compete with one another.
Yet since Judas already has a reveal trailer, it’s very possible that it will go on sale before BioShock 4, which hasn’t been in any way presented to the public yet. The game Judas is being created on the PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
