“Hi folks, at launch, we’ll be focusing on the single-player experience, but should that change and we add multiplayer in the future, we’ll be sure to let the community know.”
When another player asked whether a single-player game would need a constant internet connection, the same developer account replied on April 13, 2026: “It can be played offline :)”
What the store listing shows
The Steam page for Warhammer Survivors carries one player-mode tag, Single-player, with no co-op or PvP tag. Valve rates it Steam Deck Verified. It launches on November 10, 2026.
The free demo, on Steam since May 21, 2026, is also single-player. It had 446 people playing at once when we checked at 15:21 UTC on October 14, 2026, according to Steam’s public player-count data.
Why people expected co-op
Many players in the same Steam thread had hoped for co-op, and one player said Vampire Survivors, the game that popularized the genre, was getting an online co-op update. That is player speculation, not anything Auroch Digital has promised.
At least one unofficial guide site currently ranking for this question publishes a “co-op squads” guide for the game. The developer’s own statement contradicts that: there is no co-op at launch.
