Hades 2 Announced At Game Awards 2022: Hades 2, a follow-up to the popular Hades game, was unveiled by Supergiant at The Game Awards. Hades 2 will take place in the same environment and feature gameplay that is similar to a roguelike and what appears to be some additional Greek pantheon faces. The game is presently being created.

Hades 2 has a female heroine, Melino, who is Zagreus’ sister and is referred to as the Princess of the Underworld. This is in contrast to the original Hades game. Her training with a disguised mentor is shown in the trailer’s opening moments, and it is made clear that their shared goal is to kill Chronos.

Some of the characters refer to the protagonist as a witch—giving more hints as to what her arsenal of weapons may look like—and comment that this is an opportunity for her to “make a better future for us all,” along with other new characters like Nemesis and Apollo who make brief appearances in the trailer.

Hades’ voice narrates, “He is no mere Titan. He is time itself, and time cannot be stopped.” Melino closes the teaser by stating, “Wait for me, father. We’ll be there soon.” Chronos, the god of time, looks to be the main enemy.

Supergiant says it will share more information regarding Hades 2’s availability on other platforms at a later date. Hades 2 is currently only confirmed for PC, but it is planned for consoles as well.

According to the Steam page, Supergiant game plans to develop Hades 2 in a similar manner to Hades and incorporate player feedback. This means Hades 2 should enter Early Access at some point in the future.

Hades 2 Release Date

Hades 2 won’t be released until a later date, according to Supergiant. The game is anticipated to be launched on PC and consoles, although the precise platforms will be revealed closer to its release. The developer has been working on the game since the beginning of 2021, but says “We still have a lot left to build.”

Hades 2 will, however, be made available on PC in an early-access form, as its predecessor was, according to Supergiant. The early-access version of Hades 2 will be accessible via Epic Store and Steam. Supergiant hinted that further details about the early-access phase would be accessible in 2023, but it did not specify when.

What Platforms Will Hades Ii Be Available On?

We anticipate that Hades II will eventually be accessible on consoles and PC. The platforms the game will be playable on will be revealed closer to its completion.

Prior to that, we intend to simultaneously run the PC Early Access phase of Hades II on Steam and the Epic Games Store (the same platforms on which we conducted our Early Access for the original game).
