Ubisoft Paris collaborated with Ubisoft Bucharest, Ubisoft Reflections, Ubisoft Montpellier, Ubisoft Annecy, Ubisoft Milan, and Ubisoft Belgrade to create and distribute Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, a third-person tactical shooter video game. It is the first Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon game to include an open-world setting and was published on March 7, 2017, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Origins-style gameplay and visuals replace the futuristic elements of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter. The game world has a vast range of locations, including mountains, woods, deserts, and salt flats, and Ubisoft has called it one of the largest open-world games they have created.
reviews for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands ranged from good to mediocre. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, the sequel, was published on October 4, 2019.

Gameplay
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands is a third-person tactical shooter with a first-person view for weapons aiming, set in an open-world setting. Delta Company, First Battalion, Fifth Special Forces Group (or simply “Ghosts”) is a fictitious elite special operations unit of the United States Army operating under the Joint Special Operations Command. In contrast to the future settings of Advanced Warfighter and Future Soldier, this Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon takes place in the present day.
Since this is a global war simulation, the game’s arsenal is representative of the types of weaponry and equipment used by militaries from different parts of the globe. Drones that may be utilized to track foes and display goals are just one example of the unique hardware used. Until they are updated, these drones can only do so much.
It’s the first game in the series to include an open world, and it has nine distinct biomes including mountains, woods, deserts, and salt flats, as well as a dynamic weather system and a day-night cycle. While completing tasks during the day will enable players to quickly recognize attackers, doing it at night will provide them a tactical edge, as they will be able to better camouflage themselves and infiltrate guard posts with fewer guards awake.
A player’s first step in completing a mission is to make some observations. The game includes a wide array of vehicles, from dirt motorcycles and helicopters to dune buggies and dune buggies. Wildlands has more optional quests than the other games in the series.
Multiple routes lead to the task’s starting point, giving players a lot of flexibility in how they choose to complete the quest. A player may either parachute from a helicopter, walk on the ground, or drive a vehicle to their destination. You may utilize stealth, melee combat, or any of the long-ranged or short-ranged weaponry at your disposal to accomplish your goals in this game.
Players are tasked with destroying outposts in the game. Players may use their foes as human shields and continue to fire with one hand free. Gaining XP is a key mechanic for progressing through the game’s levels. The playable persona may be tailored to the player’s liking, and players can equip items looted from fallen foes.
You may also improve your weapons and equipment. The game’s director of the creativity claims that the game’s artificial intelligence is not programmed and has its “own motives and ambitions.”
An Aubuchon, who is in charge of one of the cartel’s four operational pillars (Influence, Security, Production, and Smuggling), has jurisdiction over each of the 21 regions shown on the map. Players may remove an Aubuchon by killing or capturing him or her in special tasks unlocked after clearing missions in a region and gathering critical information (with some exceptions).
If players can take out enough bunches in the operations division, they can go on to the division’s underboss, and if they can take out the underboss and all of the bunches in the operations division, they can take out the division head. In addition to making the cartel leader more susceptible, capturing this division head would weaken and destabilize the division.
Players may team up with up to three others in the game’s cooperative multiplayer mode to accomplish in-game objectives and explore the area. Also, if you choose to do it alone, you may play the game with three AI colleagues who will follow your commands; if you prefer a more “lone wolf” approach, you can turn them off in the game’s options.
On October 10, 2017, a free update was launched, and with it came a competitive multiplayer option. Four players compete against each other for a certain amount of time while one player may be revived. The game’s multiplayer mode lets players gain experience and level up, which in turn improves their characters across a variety of classes.
