A recent leak in the game Genshin Impact has hinted at an upcoming update for the newest region called Fontaine. This update will introduce a new playable area known as Lumidouce Harbor.
Fontaine was launched just last month and brought several new environments to the open-world RPG HoYoverse, including beautiful mountain ranges in the Beryl region and the expansive Court of Fontaine.
The region is already set to receive its first update in Version 4.1, which will introduce the Fortress of Meropide and the Fontaine Research Institute. Now, Version 4.2 is on the horizon and will bring yet another new area to the game.
As Genshin Impact gets ready for Version 4.1 next week, lots of players are already excited about what’s coming next. In Version 4.2, it’s strongly rumored that they’ll finally add Hydro Archon Furina as a playable character and introduce a new four-star character named Charlotte.
Some leaks even suggest that a brand-new weekly boss will appear in Version 4.2, and it’s the first weekly boss in the Fontaine region. And here’s the latest leak: there might be a map expansion happening when Furina makes her debut.
A famous HoYoverse leaker named StepLeaker just shared some exciting news about Fontaine’s map in Version 4.2.

They’re hinting that the next update will bring a new location called Lumidouce Harbor to the game. This harbor town is found in the eastern part of Fontaine.
Lumidouce Harbor was previously hinted at in a world quest in Genshin Impact, and it might also connect to the rumored Liyue area in Chenyu Vale. We can expect Genshin Impact’s Version 4.2 to be released in early November.
Lumidouce Harbor is going to be added to Genshin Impact’s Fontaine cycle, which is already packed with expansions. The game already has the Court of Fontaine and the upcoming Fortress of Meropide, and it’s believed that Version 4.4 will include Chenyu Vale on the map.
Leaks have suggested that there will be another expansion in the Hydro region during this cycle, possibly introducing a new “Dungeon” area in Genshin Impact’s Version 4.6. There have also been rumors about a new area for Mondstadt in the future, but we don’t know when it will be released.
In Version 4.2 of Lumidouce Harbor, we’ll see lots of exciting additions following two busy updates that brought plenty of new content. In Version 4.1, along with changes to the game’s map, we’ll meet two new characters in Genshin Impact: Neuvillette and Wriothesley, both of them Catalyst characters.
The update will also take players back to Mondstadt and Liyue for a special joint poetry festival. The beginning of Genshin Impact’s Fontaine cycle has added a ton of activities to the RPG, and there’s even more to look forward to.
