The Souls-like Mortal Shell is this week’s free mystery game from the Epic Games Store, and it seems likely that one of the Dishonored games will be featured on December 29. Although the free mystery games offer on the Epic Games Store was hesitant to get going at first, it has since gathered up momentum, allowing players to grab a number of high-quality games for no cost.
There’s usually a catch to the “free” game deals you’ll find at the majority of gaming retailers. For instance, in order to play the free PS Plus games, a PlayStation Plus membership is required, and a Nintendo Switch Online membership is necessary in order to play the Nintendo Switch Online games. There are no requirements to play the free games available at the Epic Games Store. All that’s required of players is to claim their games within the specified time limit.

In its place, Mortal Shell, a Soulslike up for Best Debut Game at The Game Awards 2020, has been made available for free on the Epic Games Store in place of Severed Steel.
