Disney Speedstorm has a release date after experiencing a delay in December of last year. On April 18, this brand-new licensed racer will now go into “early access” on the Switch.
You can pre-order the basic founder’s pack for USD 29.99 or the deluxe or ultimate packages for $49.99 / $69.99 if you want to get in on the fun early. At a later time, this game will also be made available for free.
Disney Speedstorm shared a tweet: “Start your engines… the wait is finally over! Disney Speedstorm is racing onto the scene in Early Access on April 18. Pre-order now to be among the first to play the ultimate hero-based combat racing game inspired by Disney & Pixar worlds!”

These packs will give you access to the game, as well as a racer, unlocks, extra racers of your choosing, tokens (in-game money), golden pass credits (associated with seasonal rewards), exclusive founders kart livery, suits, and more.
The “ultimate” hero-based combat racing game featuring Disney and Pixar characters and environments is called Disney Speedstorm. You can compete against other racers from all over the world and establish yourself as an online legend thanks to its support for solo, local play, and even remote multiplayer modes.
“We’re eager for fans to start their engines by joining us on the Disney Speedstorm race tracks throughout early access and battle each other as iconic racers on stunning tracks inspired by Disney and Pixar films,” said game manager Aska Suzuki in a press release.
“We can’t wait to hear our community’s feedback and to work together to create a game that is reactive to the needs and wants of the players as we plan to offer a constantly evolving racing experience.”

Pre-ordering is now available on the majority of platforms for those who want to do so. However, PlayStation pre-orders for the game won’t begin until March 20, so those interested will need to wait a little longer.
The developer stated that those who buy a Founder’s Pack on Steam during the first week of early access will still receive the special pre-order rewards even though there are no pre-order options available for Steam.
