This season, the online game store “Epic Games” is holding a “Holiday Sale 2022,” which will give away a new game every day for free. At midnight each day, Epic releases a new free game; today, it’s the open-world hit Death Stranding from 2019.

Since the Holiday Sale started on December 15th, this game has sold the most copies. This title is available until December 26 at 11:59 AM PT, after which a new, equally free game will become available.

There was a brief period when the Death Stranding Director’s Cut was free on the Epic Games Store. On the other hand, it’s possible it was just a bug since the game was updated to the original Death Stranding build shortly after.

Either way, a free Epic Games Store copy of Death Stranding is still better than none.

If you haven’t already, download the Epic Games launcher for Windows and sign in to claim the game. The Epic Games launcher’s home page will include a seasonal reminder to download free games just in time for the holidays. Death Stranding will appear among the available free games as soon as you do.
