Bandai Namco says that Tekken 8’s story mode will be bigger than the one in Tekken 7. In 2023, fighting games have been doing well, with new content for games from 2022, Capcom’s Street Fighter 6 coming out, and NetherRealm Studios launching Mortal Kombat 1 in September. Bandai Namco will release Tekken 8 early in 2024, and people are really looking forward to it.
In Tekken 8, the story continues from where Tekken 7 left off. In Tekken 7, Kazuya Mishima defeated Heihachi Mishima, and now, the only Mishima left is Kazuya’s son, Jin Kazama.
This new game is getting ready for a big showdown between father and son, and even Jin’s long-lost mother, Jun Kazama, will be part of the story in some way. And don’t worry if you thought Tekken 7’s story was too short because Bandai Namco has said that Tekken 8’s story mode will be even longer and more extensive.
During an interview with Tekken 8’s producer and director Kohei Ikeda and marketing producer Naoya Yasuda, they talked about the game’s story mode. They said that because they have more money to spend on the game, the story mode in Tekken 8 will be even bigger than the one in Tekken 7.

One of them remembered when they were told how much money they could use for the story mode and thought it was a lot, so he laughed.
Ikeda was surprised by how much story content they made for the game, especially when there were 32 different fighters in Tekken 8. He had a tough time figuring out how to make all the characters fit together in his mind.
But he thinks that in fighting games, the characters’ personalities are what make them special, and he hopes the team did a great job bringing out the best in each character. In Tekken 7, there were 14 chapters in the story mode that took about 3-4 hours to finish, as estimated by HowLongToBeat.com.
In Tekken 8, it seems like the story mode will be even bigger and more like a movie, with more battles against different Tekken fighters and a final showdown between a father and his son. But that’s not all! The game will also have other single-player modes like Arcade and a special Arcade Quest mode.

Alan Wake 2 is coming out on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC (you can get it on the Epic Games Store). Remedy says they aren’t making it for PS4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch. Also, you can only buy it online, which should make it less expensive.
Alan Wake 2 Gameplay
In the new Alan Wake 2 game, things are very different compared to the first game. Alan, the main character, has been stuck in a scary place for 13 years. This time, the game is going to be scary, like a psychological horror movie.
The big change in the game is that you get to play a new character named Saga Anderson. She’s an FBI agent, and she comes to Bright Falls with her partner Alex Casey (played by Sam Lake) to figure out some mysterious murders.
These murders are done weirdly, like rituals, and they even killed one of the FBI’s people. So, the game is all about solving this creepy mystery.
In Alan Wake 2, there are two main parts to the story.
First, you’ll spend half of the game following Saga and her investigation into a strange cult in places like Bright Falls, Cauldron Lake, and Watery.
The other half of the game is about Alan, the famous writer, who finds himself in a scary dream that looks like New York City. You can play as both Saga and Alan and switch between their stories whenever you like.
In the exciting new story of the game, they’ve made some big changes to how you fight. The camera is closer to your character’s shoulder now, and the fighting looks like the Resident Evil remakes.
You still have to use light to fight scary supernatural enemies, but you won’t have as many supplies as before because the game is more like survival horror.

Alan Wake 2 is a game with a story about two different places, two people, and two big mysteries. The part of the story they’re telling us about now is about some strange murders happening in a town called Bright Falls, near a place called Cauldron Lake. There’s also a new place called Watery to explore in the game.
In the game, a smart FBI detective named Saga Anderson comes to Bright Falls to investigate these murders. She’s working with her partner, Alex Casey, who is voiced by James McCaffrey and looks a bit like the guy who made Max Payne, another popular game.
While all of this is happening, there’s a story about a guy named Alan Wake. He’s been stuck in a spooky place called the Dark Place under Cauldron Lake for 13 years, and it looks like a scary version of New York City.
In the game, you’ll also get to be Alan Wake, and his goal is to write a creepy story that can change the world around him so he can finally escape from that spooky place, even if it has some bad consequences.
In Alan Wake 2, the story will follow both Alan’s adventure and another character’s journey. The cool thing is, that you can switch between playing these two characters whenever you want.

Epic Games has shared some exciting news! They’ve made Unreal Engine 5.3 accessible for everyone to download. Epic Games has been working really hard to make their famous game-making tool even better.

The latest version of Unreal Engine 5 has made lots of things better and added some cool new stuff. Two of the coolest things in Unreal Engine 5 are Nanite and Lumen, and they’re getting even better in the 5.3 update.
Nanite is now faster when dealing with certain materials, like leaves and stuff, and it can show more types of surfaces really well. Lumen is also getting better thanks to some special tech called Hardware Ray Tracing. Capcom released new Resident Evil games for PC, like Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil Village. But there haven’t been any recent updates or changes to these games. Something different is happening only with Resident Evil 4.
Resident Evil 4 DLC: Possible Release Date
So, what new DLCs are people waiting for in Resident Evil 4, and when will we find out about it? Well, one thing people are hoping for is DLC (extra content) for the game. One of the DLCs folks are looking forward to is called “Separate Ways.”
It was added to the GameCube version of the game and could be played after you finished the main story. But strangely, it wasn’t included in the remake of the game. In this DLC, you get to play Ada Wong, and it shows what she was up to during the times when she wasn’t with Leon in Resident Evil 4.
In the original game, there are three extra things you can play: Assignment Ada, Mercenaries Mode, and Separate Ways. But in the remake, they already put Mercenaries Mode in it.
Separate Ways is the more complicated extra thing compared to Assignment Ada. People were worried that they might have to pay for Separate Ways, even though Mercenaries Mode was free.
We don’t know exactly when they’ll announce the DLC, but there’s a big gaming event called the Tokyo Game Show happening from September 21st to September 24th.
Capcom, the company that makes the games, will be there. They’ve said they’ll talk about a game called Resident Evil 4, especially its cool virtual reality mode for the PlayStation 5. We’re not sure if they’ll tell us about any extra DLC for the game, though.
A leaker who knows a lot about games says that a new Red Dead Redemption game is being made. The last game, Red Dead Redemption 2, did really in 2018. It sold a ton of copies and did way better than the first one.
Even though it might seem like the game company Rockstar could stop making Red Dead games, there are still lots of fans who really want another one. We don’t know when it will come out or what the new game will be about yet, though.
Fans of the Red Dead Redemption series have different ideas about what the next game, Red Dead Redemption 3, should be like. Some think it should be a game set before the events of Red Dead Redemption 2, showing how the Van der Linde gang was formed during the exciting times of the Wild West.

So, it could be a really, really long time before we hear anything about Red Dead Redemption 3. According to the newest info, it’s probable that Grand Theft Auto 6 will come out between April 2024 and March 2025.
If we’re hopeful and think it will be in 2024, that’s six years after Red Dead Redemption 3. So, fans might have to wait until 2030 to play Red Dead Redemption 3, assuming it’s the next game Rockstar releases after GTA 6.
People have been talking about a possible medieval fantasy game from Rockstar, the same company that makes Red Dead Redemption. If this rumor is true, it might take even more time for them to make Red Dead Redemption 3. We’ll have to wait and see. But for now, fans can be happy knowing that Rockstar might be working on this new game.
Nintendo Switch Online members can now play some new batch of retro games. These games are from the past and can be found in apps for NES, SNES, and Game Boy. You can play games like Kirby’s Star Stacker, Joy Mech Fight, Downtown Nekketsu March Super-Awesome Field Day!, and Quest for Camelot.
What’s cool is that three of these games were not available in North America before. Also, Quest for Camelot is a game based on a 1998 Warner Bros. animated movie!
The official Nintendo of America Twitter account just posted that there are four classic games available now for members of Nintendo Switch Online!
The Kirby games are very popular with Nintendo. But in North America, they never released the Super Nintendo version of Kirby’s Star Stacker, even though it’s based on a Game Boy game from 1997.
In Japan, they made a better version of the Super Famicom in 1998. By that time, Nintendo had already been selling the Nintendo 64 for more than two years, so they probably decided not to bring Kirby’s Star Stacker to North America.
It did come out on the Wii Virtual Console in Japan, but North American fans couldn’t play it. But now, Nintendo has fixed that and is letting people who subscribe to NSO try the game.

Joy Mech Fight is a video game that came out in Japan in 1993. It’s a fighting game where you can pick from 36 different robot characters. These robots have limbs that can move separately, kind of like in the game Vectorman.
People who subscribe to Nintendo Switch Online seem really excited about this game on social media. They’ve been waiting for it to come out for 30 years, so hopefully, it will be as good as they hope!
Quest for Camelot
Quest for Camelot is a surprise game on Nintendo Switch Online. It’s special because it’s the first game based on a license (like a movie or a show) to be on this service. Usually, the games on here are made by Nintendo or a few other companies.
But now that they’ve added Quest for Camelot, it might mean they’ll add more licensed games in the future, like Tiny Toon Adventures or X-Men. We’ll have to wait and see, but there could be some exciting games coming to Nintendo Switch Online!
Microsoft just told us about some cool new updates coming to Xbox in September 2023. They’re adding more than six big new features to the Xbox consoles that came out in the last few years. The last time they did a big update like this was in July when they changed how the main menu looked.
Microsoft usually releases updates for its Xbox game consoles every month. These updates don’t always come with lots of new stuff, but this time, there are a bunch of exciting new features included.
In September 2023, there will be a new update for Xbox. This update will make it easier for people to connect accessories, like controllers and other wireless gadgets, to their Xbox systems.

In the September 2023 update, there’s a new feature for the latest gaming devices. It’s called “variable refresh rate” or VRR. What it does is, when you connect your device to a TV or monitor, it makes the screen change how fast it shows pictures to match how fast the video or game is running. This makes everything you watch or play look super smooth and nice.
Additionally, if you have an Xbox console, you will soon be able to invite your friends to play games with you. This will make it easier to join games without any hassle when they are full or almost finished.
Your friends can reply with an invite to play a game or join a party, and they can also send you a message to chat. In the update coming in September, you will also get notifications about new game releases that you are interested in. You can also report up to 60 seconds of gameplay, including voice chats, and there will be a new Rewards tab as well.
In September 2023, there’s a new update for Xbox that lets you play Xbox games on Discord. To do this, you just need to press the Xbox button, go to the Parties and Chats section, and pick “Stream your game” from the Discord menu. If you want to play with friends online, you’ll need to have a PlayStation Plus subscription. Baldur’s Gate 3 is going to be on Xbox Series X|S consoles soon, not just PlayStation 5. But it’s not coming out at the same time because making a split-screen feature for co-op play on the Xbox Series S was hard.
The Xbox Series S couldn’t handle it well, so the game developers asked Microsoft to take out the split-screen on that version. We don’t know the exact date it will be on Xbox yet.

How to Preload Baldur’s Gate 3 on PS5?
Larian Studios said that if you got the fancier version of the game on your PS5, you could start getting it ready to play on August 31. You can actually start playing it on September 2, 2023.
But if you have the regular version, you can start getting it ready on September 4, and you can start playing it on September 6, 2023. If you bought the game online, the PlayStation Store will ask if you want to get it ready to play when it’s time.
If you didn’t do that when you bought it, here’s how you can get it ready to play now:
Make sure you’re connected to the internet on your PS5.
Go to your PS5 Game Library and choose Baldur’s Gate 3.
You’ll see a list of things that come with your preordered version. You can pick which ones you want to download by checking them. Anything you don’t check won’t download by itself when it’s time.

Is Baldur’s Gate 3 Coming to PS4?
Unfortunately, Baldur’s Gate 3 will only be available on the latest PlayStation console, the PS5. People who have a PlayStation 4 won’t be able to play it, and there are no plans to release it for the older PS4. This is because the game needed a lot of extra work to make it run smoothly on the PS5, so it won’t work on the older PS4.
However, if you really want to play a Baldur’s Gate game and you don’t have a PC or a PS5, you can still enjoy Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition and Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition on your PS4. These are remastered versions of older Baldur’s Gate games, and they can be a good option for now.
Recent news about the Honkai: Star Rail game has revealed some gameplay of a powerful character named Topaz and her buddy Numby. What’s interesting is that you can control both of them together as a single team, which isn’t very usual in games where you collect characters.
