Ubisoft Reveals Assassin’s Creed Shadows: A Shinobi’s Dance in Feudal Japan

Some people on the internet are upset about Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Shadows because it features a Black man and a Japanese woman as the main characters. They claim the game is “woke” and not true to history, even though Yasuke, one of the characters, is a real historical figure.

This criticism is happening even though the series has always included fantastical elements like fighting mythical creatures and visiting Atlantis.

These critics are using thinly veiled racism, pretending to care about historical accuracy to justify their prejudices.

They are trying to stir up anger in their communities, similar to what happened with the game Stellar Blade. As soon as the key art for Shadows showed a person of color as the main character, the same backlash occurred.

    Ubisoft Reveals Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Ubisoft has finally announced its long-awaited Assassin’s Creed game set in feudal Japan, called Shadows. It features two main characters: a ninja named Naoe and a samurai based on the historical Black samurai Yasuke.

While there’s a lack of Asian representation in Western games, it’s ironic and ridiculous that people are only now talking about needing an Asian protagonist because Assassin’s Creed Shadows stars a Black samurai.

This misses the bigger issue. I always support more Asian men in big games, but having another samurai hero isn’t the best way to get better representation.

Assassin’s Creed Doesn’t Care About Historical Accuracy

    Assassin's Creed Shadows Revealed
    Assassin’s Creed Shadows Revealed

Assassin’s Creed has always featured outsiders and rebels from different backgrounds and has moved away from strict realism. It’s not meant to be a super realistic game, so using that argument to justify bigotry is wrong.

The reactions to Shadows on social media have been awful, even though it was just announced.

People of color expressing their excitement are facing blatant racism, hateful memes, and trolls saying they’re only excited because they can play as a character like themselves, ignoring the long history of diverse characters in games.

Much of the outrage comes from claims that Yasuke, a Black samurai, is historically inaccurate and that Ubisoft is pushing a political agenda. However, Assassin’s Creed has always included major and sometimes controversial historical figures in creative ways.

For example, Margaret Thatcher is depicted as a Templar in the series. Shadows isn’t changing history to be more progressive; it’s doing what the series has always done.

Yasuke has been featured in many books, films, shows, and anime, but only in a mainstream video game does his presence cause such outrage.

This shows how toxic and guarded the gaming community can be. Yasuke is a famous figure whose story has been adapted in many ways, and Ubisoft will likely mix fact and fiction in Shadows, as usual.

This is similar to how the game Like A Dragon: Ishin portrayed Sakamoto Ryoma as Kazuma Kiryu, bending the truth for spectacle while respecting history. Yasuke is treated differently because he is Black, which reveals ingrained prejudices.

We don’t know much about how Shadows will depict Japanese history or its feudal period. It may include folklore and alter history for its story, and there wouldn’t be such an uproar if the main character was of another race or from another country.

Japanese developers and players praised Ghost of Tsushima and other depictions of Yasuke without issue, showing that the problem lies with those using this as an excuse for outrage politics.

This situation is part of a larger pattern where people of color, women, LGBTQ+ individuals, and other minorities face hatred in the gaming community.

It’s exhausting and worsening, but the controversy around Assassin’s Creed Shadows has no real substance. It’s just another Ubisoft open-world game set in a historical period with a mix of realism and fantasy elements.

Street Fighter 6 Outfits Revealed: New Threads for Your Favorite Fighters!

Capcom has revealed the last set of Outfit 3 costumes for Street Fighter 6, this time for the first four DLC characters.

We now know what Rashid, A.K.I., Ed, and Akuma will look like in their new outfits, thanks to some footage from the AT&T Annihilator Cup tournament that happened yesterday and an official trailer released by Capcom.

    Street Fighter 6 Outfits Revealed

Capcom has shared comments from the designers that give us more details. We also get to see some cool new concept art for Rashid and A.K.I.’s new outfits.

The official Street Fighter Twitter account posted tweets over the past few days showing the new design artwork and comments for Rashid and A.K.I.’s costumes. For A.K.I., we learn that her Outfit 3 design was inspired by her mentor, F.A.N.G.

“We designed this while imagining A.K.I. wanting to stand next to F.A.N.G. wearing an outfit with the same materials and silhouette,” Capcom explained. “She isn’t just copying F.A.N.G’s outfit but is trying to be close to him in her stylish way.” Fans really like A.K.I.’s new costume, and it’s already become very popular with lots of fan art being created.

For Rashid, we thought his new outfit looked sporty, and that seems to be right. “Rashid is a FooTuber who streams himself doing parkour and extreme sports,” Capcom wrote. “We wanted to make this outfit sporty, with compression wear, a cap, sports sunglasses, etc. He also has some ‘tech-wear’ since he’s a gadget-loving character.”

Street Fighter 6’s Season 2 update, including Akuma and Outfit 3 for the first four DLC characters, will all be available on May 22.

Street Fighter 6 Character Guide (2)

Capcom’s fighting game Street Fighter 6 is getting big balance changes along with the release of Akuma on May 22.

A new trailer shows these updates, with the main change being a new wakeup Drive Reversal mechanic. This gives you a new way to counter combos, especially when you’re stuck in the corner.

The trailer also shows many new combat options for almost all characters. There will probably be some nerfs along with the buffs shown. Not everyone will be happy with the changes, especially if their favorite characters are weakened, but we’ll have to wait and see how the competitive community reacts.

The release of Akuma will end the first season of content, with a second season expected to be announced later this summer.

  • Toys for Bob Teases New Spyro and Crash Bandicoot Games: Is a Dragon’s Flame Reigniting Crash’s Bandicoot?

Toys for Bob Teases New Spyro and Crash Bandicoot Games: Is a Dragon’s Flame Reigniting Crash’s Bandicoot?

Toys for Bob has changed its website and put up a new logo, which has made fans wonder if there are new Crash Bandicoot or Spyro games on the way.

Toys for Bob is known for making Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time and the Spyro Reignited Trilogy. The Tiki mask might suggest something to do with Crash, while the purple color makes people think of Spyro.

Toys for Bob Teases New Spyro and Crash Bandicoot Games

Are they making new games in these series? Fans on social media seem to think so. But could it just be a new logo for the developer that combines both games?

The image file is named “TFB_LogoVector_TikiMask-purple,” which suggests it might be. Some people even say it’s an old logo from when the studio had a Tiki bar theme.

Earlier this year, the studio left Activision to become independent but is thinking about teaming up with Microsoft. This comes after Microsoft bought Activision Blizzard and let go of 1900 employees across Xbox, including 86 from Toys for Bob.

The studio said on its website that it’s proud of the games it’s made over the years, like Skylanders and the Spyro Reignited Trilogy. They want to keep making great games and think now is the time to do it. They’re excited to go back to being a small, flexible studio.

    Spyro 4 Teaser Leaks

Toys For Bob knows how to keep us guessing. Spyro fans are excited again, thinking there might be a hint about Spyro 4.

Toys for Bob teases new Spyro and Crash Bandicoot games
Toys for Bob teases new Spyro and Crash Bandicoot games

The last time we saw Spyro was in 2018’s Spyro Reignited Trilogy, where he was the main character.

Spyro also showed up in Crash Team Rumble, but that game didn’t last long, so it’s not a big deal for fans.

Fans want new main games for Crash Bandicoot and Spyro, not just multiplayer games.

Toys For Bob keeps dropping hints. Last year, they were seen looking at Unreal Engine 5, which could mean they’re working on something big. They also decided to become independent from Microsoft.

But they’re still going to work with Microsoft on their next game. And it sounds like it might be similar to the games they’ve made before, which is exciting for Crash and Spyro fans.

Now, Toys For Bob changed their website to show a purple tiki mask. It looks like Aku Aku from Crash Bandicoot, but the purple color is more like Spyro.

Could this mean they’re working on new Crash and Spyro games? Or is it just a new logo?

It’s hard to know for sure. Weirdly, they’re making changes to their website right before Summer Game Fest, which is when new games are often announced. But we’ll have to wait until June 7 to find out for sure.

Final Hi-Fi Rush Patch Released: Sending the Game Out With a Bang!

Hi-Fi Rush is a fun action-rhythm game made by Tango Gameworks. It came out of nowhere in 2023 and turned out to be one of the top games of the year. But now, the studio that made it has been shut down by Xbox. This makes the last update for the game a sad goodbye to its fans.

    Final Hi-Fi Rush Patch Released

Today, Hi-Fi Rush is getting one last update to fix some small problems in the game. Also, the Hi-Fi Rush X (formerly Twitter) account has confirmed that Limited Run Games will release a physical version of the game.

This news from the Hi-Fi Rush X account comes about a week after Xbox closed down Tango Gameworks, the studio that made the game, as well as Arkane Austin, the studio behind Redfall, and two other teams from Bethesda.

Even though Tango Gameworks won’t make any more Hi-Fi Rush stuff, hopefully, this update makes the game as good as possible for new players to enjoy.

Tango Gameworks shut down about a year after they made Hi-Fi Rush, which was a big hit according to Xbox. A few days after these studios closed, Xbox president Sarah Bond talked about why it happened, saying it’s about keeping the business healthy for the future.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Revealed: Shinobi and Samurai Collide in Feudal Japan

The next game in the Assassin’s Creed series is coming soon. Ubisoft showed the first trailer for Assassin’s Creed Shadows. It will come out later this year.

    Assassin’s Creed Shadows Revealed

Assassin’s Creed Shadows official reveal trailer

Ubisoft showed fans the first real glimpse of the next big Assassin’s Creed game with the trailer for Assassin’s Creed Shadows on Wednesday. Before, it was called Assassin’s Creed: Codename Red. Shadows will take players to feudal Japan in November, where they can be ninjas like Naoe.

In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, players can also be the legendary Black samurai Yasuke. Unlike other Assassin’s Creed games with two main characters, the ones in Shadows seem more different.

The female ninja uses weapons like ninjato, wristblade, and kusarigama, while her samurai partner is big and wears heavy armor, wielding a big katana.

The first trailer for Assassin’s Creed Shadows hinted at its movie-like goals and introduced its characters. Players might have to wait until Ubisoft Forward in June to see actual gameplay.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is made by Ubisoft Quebec, the team that made 2018’s Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, led by Jonathan Dumont. It was first mentioned in 2022 under a secret name and promised to take the Assassin’s Creed series to a setting fans had been asking for.

Shadows follow up on last year’s Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which was a simpler version of the classic Assassin’s Creed games. It’s set in feudal Japan and is just one of several projects Ubisoft is working on for the Assassin’s Creed series.

Another one is Assassin’s Creed Jade, a mobile game set in ancient China. Then there’s Assassin’s Creed Codename: Hexe, which Ubisoft’s Marc-Alexis Cote describes as a unique type of Assassin’s Creed game. Hexe is led by creative director Clint Hocking.

There’s also Assassin’s Creed Codename: Infinity, which Cote described as more of a platform than a single game. It’s meant to connect all the different Assassin’s Creed experiences and players.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be available on Amazon Luna, Mac, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X on Nov. 15.

The First Assassin’s Creed Shadows Trailer Shows Off Dual Samurai

    Assassin's Creed Shadows Revealed
    Assassin’s Creed Shadows Revealed

The trailer gives a good look at the game. It introduces two main characters. One is Yasuke, a samurai who was originally from Africa. He serves a Japanese warlord named Oda Nobunaga.

The other character is Naoe, a ninja. At first, Naoe opposes Nobunaga’s war, which puts her against Yasuke. Before the trailer, there were rumors that the game would have two main characters, like Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. Some pictures of the samurai and ninja characters were leaked before the trailer was released.

Before this, the game was known by the codename Assassin’s Creed Red since 2022. Ubisoft recently announced the official name change to Assassin’s Creed Shadows. They also announced the trailer.

Red/Shadows was first revealed as part of Ubisoft’s plan for future Assassin’s Creed games. This plan also includes other games like Assassin’s Creed Jade and Codename Hexe.

  • Helldivers 2 is PlayStation’s Fastest-Selling Game Ever: Making Gaming History!

Helldivers 2 is PlayStation’s Fastest-Selling Game Ever: Making Gaming History!

Sony’s latest financial report reveals big news: Helldivers 2, a popular co-op shooter made by Arrowhead Game Studios in Sweden, is now PlayStation’s fastest-selling game.

In just 12 weeks, Helldivers 2 sold a whopping 12 million copies, beating the previous record set by God of War Ragnarök, which sold 11 million copies in the same time frame.

    Helldivers 2 is PlayStation’s Fastest-Selling Game Ever

What’s interesting is how Helldivers 2 was released. Unlike most PlayStation games that start on the console and then come to PC later, Helldivers 2 came out on both PS5 and PC (via Steam) at the same time. Plus, it was cheaper than most PlayStation games, priced at $39.99 instead of the usual $59.99.

Steam played a big role in Helldivers 2’s success, with about 60% of its sales coming from there in the first month. It became one of the top 10 most-played games on Steam too.

Because of this success, Sony plans to release all future live-service games on PlayStation and Steam together. But they’re still keeping them exclusive to PlayStation for big single-player games like Marvel’s Spider-Man or God of War.

However, not everything went smoothly. Sony tried to make Steam players link their PlayStation Network accounts, but people didn’t like that idea, so Sony had to drop it.

In other news from Sony’s report, they’ve sold nearly 59 million PS5 consoles, just behind the 60 million PS4s sold in the same period. They expect PS5 sales to slow down from now on.

There’s also a change in leadership at Sony Interactive Entertainment, which oversees PlayStation. Hermen Hulst and Hideaki Nishino are the new CEOs.

Hulst will look after game development and publishing, while Nishino will handle console hardware and services. They both report to Hiroki Totoki, who’s the current interim CEO.

So, while Sony’s doing well financially, some changes are happening behind the scenes.

Helldivers II Sales Top 12 Million

Sony Interactive Entertainment and Arrowhead Game Studios revealed that Helldivers II, a cooperative third-person shooter, has sold a whopping 12 million units by May 5.

According to Hiroki Totoki, the interim CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, Helldivers II sales have surpassed the record set by God of War Ragnarok in the same period after its release in 2022.

It’s also the biggest PC title for Sony Interactive Entertainment so far, and its release on multiple platforms contributed greatly to sales and profit in Sony Group Corporation’s fiscal fourth quarter ending March 31, 2024.

  • Star Citizen Alpha 3.23 Update: What’s New and Exciting in the Verse

Star Citizen Alpha 3.23 Update: What’s New and Exciting in the Verse

A really big update for Star Citizen just came out! It’s called Alpha 3.23. This update brings lots of new stuff to the game to make it better.

One cool thing is a new tool where you can make your character look just how you want. The people who make the game, Cloud Imperium Games, rebuilt this tool completely. Now, you can pick from different head shapes, hairstyles, eyebrows, and facial hair styles. Plus, you can save your character and use it later.

Some other important changes are happening behind the scenes. They’re making the game work better, even if you might not notice it right away.

One big change is how the game saves your progress. Now, if the game crashes, you won’t lose all the progress you made. That’s good news!

They also added something called the Vulkan Renderer. Right now, it might not make the game run faster than before, but they’re working on it. Eventually, it might be even better than before.

Lastly, they improved how the game looks. They added something called image upscaling. This makes the graphics look better without slowing down the game.

    Star Citizen Alpha 3.23 Update

    Star Citizen Alpha 3.23 Update
    Star Citizen Alpha 3.23 Update

    ● Meet the Wildlife, Marok and Kopian: Life finds a way. Star Citizen now has animals! The first ones are the marok bird and the kopian. The marok bird is small and flies using its big wings. It follows fish when they move. Sometimes, it eats leftover food from humans. But don’t worry, it won’t hurt you. The kopian, however, is like a wild dog. It can be a problem, and players might need to deal with them.

    ● Mirai’s Pulse and Pulse LX Hoverbikes Bring Portable Thrills: Mirai, a company in the game, made two new hoverbikes. The Pulse is fast and has weapons to defend itself. The Pulse LX is even faster but doesn’t have weapons. Both bikes are easy to carry in your spaceship, so you can explore different places easily.

    ● Master Modes Makes its Galactic Debut: Now, flying ships in Star Citizen is different. Ships can be in Navigation Mode or Standard Control Mode. Navigation Mode helps you travel quickly, while Standard Control Mode lets you fight better. Switching between them is easy, but it takes a few seconds.

    ● Welcome to the Distribution Center: There are big buildings called distribution centers in the game now. You can go there to get missions. They’re huge, so it’s best to use ground vehicles to get around.

    ● Fly, Shoot, and Problem Solve in Arena Commander: There are new maps and challenges in the game’s Arena Commander mode. One map, Miner’s Lament, is full of asteroids. There’s also a new mode for testing engineering gameplay.

    ● Plot a Course with the Star Map: The Star Map helps you find your way in space. It shows all the places you can go. You can even search for specific places and plot a course there.

    ● FPS Combat Upgrades Deliver More Immersion: Fighting on foot is better now. There are new animations for running and aiming guns. Reloading is slower, and guns kick back more realistically.

    ● New Cloud Tech and Visual Options: Clouds look better in the game now. There are also options to make the game look better without slowing it down. And you can customize your character even more.

    ● Welcoming New Players to all Landing Zones: New players have more starting options now. They can begin in different cities, each with its unique features.

This news comes after CI Games said in January that they would be letting go of 10% of their staff.

Last month, they announced they made over $60 million in 2023 because Lords of the Fallen did so well.

  • God of War Ragnarok is Reportedly Coming to PC: Kratos Prepares for a PC Warpath

God of War Ragnarok is Reportedly Coming to PC: Kratos Prepares for a PC Warpath

A reliable leaker known as billbil-kun, writing for Dealabs, has claimed that the popular action game “God of War: Ragnarok” will soon be available on PC. However, they didn’t give an exact release date. According to billbil-kun, an announcement about this PC release is expected sometime in May.

“God of War: Ragnarok” originally launched on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in November 2022 and was a huge success among both critics and players.

It quickly became the fastest-selling first-party game in PlayStation history, selling 5.1 million units in its first week alone.

By November 2023, it had sold over 15 million copies. The Valhalla DLC released last year was also well-received. If the PC release happens this fall, it will be two years after the game first came out on consoles.

According to a reliable leaker named billbil-kun, the next Sony game coming to PC could be “God of War: Ragnarök”.

Billbil-kun, who has a track record of accurate leaks about Sony games, claims they have inside information suggesting that a PC version of the highly successful sequel to 2019’s “God of War” will be announced, “sometime in May”.

They’re not sure about the release date yet, but they think we might get more details during the next PlayStation State of Play showcase, which might happen later this month.

If the PC port is confirmed in May, people will be watching to see if Sony requires PC players to connect to the PlayStation Network (PSN). Previously, for “Ghost of Tsushima“, players were told they only needed to connect to PSN if they wanted to play the Legends multiplayer mode.

But some players who can’t make a PSN account are getting their pre-orders refunded automatically.

  • Helldivers 2 Pulled From Steam: Mandatory PSN Link Sparks Outrage

Helldivers 2 Pulled From Steam: Mandatory PSN Link Sparks Outrage

Given the removal of the PlayStation Network (PSN) requirement, Helldivers 2 faces hurdles. The Sony-published game has been pulled from Steam in nearly 200 locations.

Arrowhead, the developer, is attempting to bring it back to Valve’s platform. Sony’s initially excellent PC launch has now taken a tumble. Even if the PSN requirement is no longer in effect, the game has already taken substantial damage.

    Helldivers 2 Pulled From Steam

Helldivers 2 developer and Arrowhead CEO Johan Pilestedt has given an update on the game’s Steam delisting, and it’s not good news. Arrowhead is still talking with Sony to try and reverse the decision, but Pilestedt says “It doesn’t look positive.”

The game was originally removed from Steam in 177 territories by Sony, and three more countries were added to the list later: Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia. These 180 territories can’t buy the game right now, but Arrowhead is trying to fix the issue with Sony.

The upcoming PC port of Ghost of Tsushima also got delisted on Steam in these territories because of a requirement from the PlayStation Network for the multiplayer part of the game. Valve, the company behind Steam, noticed this and took action independently.

Sony has now removed the PSN account linking requirement, and the negative reviews on Steam have mostly been reversed.

But Helldivers 2 is still unavailable in many parts of the world. Pilestedt and Arrowhead are working to get it back, but it’s been a challenge. Sony’s actions with Helldivers 2 and Ghost of Tsushima show a step backward in the PC gaming market.

Helldivers 2: Transforming Negative Reviews into a Heroic Mantle

Over the weekend, Helldivers 2 announced that players would need to link their Steam accounts to PSN to keep playing. But this idea got a lot of negative feedback, so Sony quickly changed their minds. Still, the game’s overall score took a hit from the backlash.

But Arrowhead CEO and Helldivers 2 creative director Johan Pilestedt isn’t upset. He’s turning the negative reviews into something positive by adding them to the game as a cape. This way, players can wear the cape and remember this moment whenever they play.

And don’t worry, Pilestedt won’t charge players for the cape. People are even coming up with cool names for it, like “Voice of Democracy” and “We Dive Together”.

We don’t know when the cape will be added, but for now, the community is working to raise the game’s review score back up.

Pokemon Unite Update v1.14.1.5 Patch Notes

    Zoroark

Central Area Zoroark has been dominating the early stages of the Unite Battles due to its high mobility, damage, and recovery. Night Slash’s damage and healing have been nerfed, making it less likely to knock out opponents under goals.

    Night Slash

    • Damage: 15% decrease
    • Cooldown: 8 sec. → 9 sec.
    • HP recovery: 20% decrease

    Buzzwole

The Superpower+ → Smack Down → Superpower+ combo relied on the Muscle Gauge reaching max, granting full cooldown reduction for Smack Down+. This combo was almost a guaranteed KO, making Buzzwole a 1v1 beast that was nearly impossible to duel. Superpower and Smack Down have been nerfed, requiring several basic attacks to fill the Muscle Gauge for the second Superpower attempt.

    Superpower

    • Cooldown: 7.5 sec. → 8.5 sec.

    Superpower+

    • The muscle gauge reaching its maximum will reduce the cooldown by 3s instead of the full cooldown.

    Smack Down

    • Muscle gauge increments per hit: 2 → 1

    Smack Down+

    • Muscle gauge increments per hit: 3 → 2

    Mewtwo (Mega Mewtwo Y)

The special attack growth has been nerfed, so that Mewtwo’s damage will scale less in the later stages of the Unite Battles. Additionally, the damage caused by the Unite move, combined with Teleport’s damage buff, was excessive. Both Teleport and Unite Move have been nerfed.

    Stats

    • Sp. Atk: 150-810 → 150-780 (Lv.1-15)

    Teleport

    • Damage increase: 20% → 10%
    • Second teleport duration: 3s → 2s

    Teleport+

    • Damage increase: 30% → 15%
    • Second teleport duration: 3s → 2s

    Unite Move: Infinite Psyburn

    • Damage: 19% decrease
    • Time opposing Pokémon are left unable to act: 1s → 0.6s

    Machamp

Due to the lack of defense stats, Machamp’s primary tactic became avoiding confrontations and sneaking from behind. So that Machamp can face opponents head-on like a true champion, defense stats and Submission have been buffed.

    Stats

    • Def: 98-490 → 100-510 (Lv.1-15)
    • Sp. Def: 64-320 → 70-350 (Lv.1-15)

    Submission

    • Damage: 23% decrease

    Snorlax

Despite the limitations on attack and movement speed, the shield obtained was too small for Block. Therefore, Block has been buffed.

    Block

    • Movement speed decrease: 45% → 30%
    • Shield: 50% increase

    Aegislash

There were many scenes where Aegislash couldn’t attack while in shield form or kept receiving attacks in sword form right in the middle of the enemy. Adjustments have been made to Iron Head and Sacred Sword to enable quick form changes.

    Iron Head

    • Cooldown: 7 sec. → 6 sec.

    Sacred Sword

    • Cooldown: 7.5 sec. → 6.5 sec.

    Gyarados

Waterfall and Aqua Tail, which had low usage rates due to their unique control feel, are adjusted to better align with trainers’ intentions. Additionally, knock-up has been added to Bounce to make it easier to hit the second stage of Aqua Tail.

    Waterfall

    • Cooldown between moves: 0.3 sec.→ 0.07 sec.

    Aqua Tail

    • Advance distance: 50% decrease

    Bounce

    • Charged Bounce now knocks up opponents on hit.

    Hoopa

Since Trick was significantly less favored than Hyperspace Hole, Trick has been buffed for diverse support strategies.

    Trick

    • Shield: 28% to 9% increase (Level 5 to 15)
    • Movement speed increase duration: 2 sec. →3 sec.

    Umbreon

Even in its pre-evolution state, Umbreon had high defense stats, making it quite powerful from the early stages of Unite Battles. Therefore, defense stats while Eevee are nerfed. Wish has been buffed to make Umbreon a viable option as a healing support. Additionally, Foul Play has been buffed to dive into the opponents as a defensive type.

    Stats

    • Def: 95-500 → 85-500 (Lv.1-15)
    • Sp. Def: 70-400 → 60-400 (Lv.1-15)

    Wish

    • Healing Amount: 20% increase

    Foul Play

    • Movement speed decrease: 25% for 2 sec. → 30% for 2.5 sec.
    • Second stage damage: 20% increase

    Azumarill

Whirlpool has been buffed since it had a relatively long cooldown. The Unite Move will now only target opposing Pokémon to prevent Azumarill from dashing toward wild Pokémon despite the trainers’ intentions.

    Whirlpool

    • Cooldown: 11 sec. → 10 sec.

    Whirlpool+

    • Cooldown: 9 sec. → 8 sec.

    Unite Move: Belly Bash

    • Now only targets opposing Pokémon

    Crustle

Crustle’s Unite Move could be interrupted by moves that prevent Pokémon from acting. This made it hard  to use at the best timing with max stacked passive. The Unite Move has been adjusted to be more reliable in the middle of team fights.

    Unite Move: Rubble Rouser

    • Becomes unstoppable for a short period at the beginning of the Unite Move

    Espeon

Since the damage output of Stored Power was too high for a move that is both safe and sure hits, its damage has been nerfed.

    Stored Power

    • Damage: 10% decrease

    Meowscarada

Due to its ability to deal more significant damage compared to other speed-type Pokémon, base Attack Stats have been nerfed.

    Stats

    • Atk: 160-660 →160-630 (Lv.1-15)

    Eldegoss

Boosted attack has been nerfed since its slowing effect was too high, which made Eldegoss one of the best Pokémon in the early stages of Unite Battles. While its main purpose was to protect allies, Pollen Puff and the Unite Move were dealing too much damage. Therefore, these moves have been nerfed.

    Boosted Attack

    • Damage: 15% decrease
    • Movement speed decrease: 30% for 1.5 sec. → 20% for 1 sec.

    Pollen Puff

    • Damage: 15% decrease

    Pollen Puff+

    • Damage reduction: 20% → 15%

    Unite Move: Cotton Cloud Crash

    • Damage: 13% to 17% decrease (Lv.9-15)

    Bug Fixes

    • Fixed the issue with Buzzwole’s Smack Down, where grabbing an opponent mid-air with Superpower will also deal Smack Down’s follow-up damage.
    • Fixed the issue with Trevenant’s Horn Leech, where the knockback distance was unintended.
    • Fixed the issue with Greedent’s Bullet Seed, which could spit seeds during Slowbro’s Slowbeam.
    • Fixed the issue with Miraidon’s Electro Drift, which caused unintended behaviors when the target was KO’d while charging the boosted Electro Drift.
    • Fixed the issue with Zeraora’s Wild Charge+, which left an area that deals damage even after the move finishes.

Are Console Commands and Cheats Available for Hades 2?

Currently, Hades 2 doesn’t have any built-in cheats or console commands, just like the first Hades game. But there’s a feature called God Mode in the settings menu that can make the game easier.

With God Mode on, Melinoe gets a Boon called Deus Ex Machina, which gives her 20% damage resistance plus 2% more each time she dies. It’s not the same as customizable cheats, but it’s the official support you’ll get.

To turn on God Mode, go to options, then gameplay, and toggle on the first option in the list.

If you’re looking for other cheat options, you’ll have to use third-party trainers. One popular trainer is WeMod for the Steam version of Hades 2.

It’s pretty basic for now, but it lets you make Melinoe invincible, have one-hit kills, set a damage multiplier, and adjust movement speed. Just be careful when using trainers because they’re not officially supported, and they can sometimes cause problems like crashes or messed-up saves.

  • College Football 25 Release Date Countdown: When Can You Hit the Gridiron?

College Football 25 Release Date Countdown: When Can You Hit the Gridiron?

EA Sports is gearing up to release College Football 25 very soon. They’ve been dropping hints every Friday that the game is almost here. Recently, they put up what seems to be a fancy version of the game on the PlayStation Store, for which fans can join a waitlist.

EA also put up a countdown timer on their website, saying there will be more news about College Football 25 in a week.

This timer ends on May 16 at 11 a.m. ET. Since EA already said the game will come out this summer, this countdown will likely lead to a big reveal trailer before the game comes out in July.

The deluxe edition cover gives us a sneak peek at what to expect. It features stars like Donovan Edwards from Michigan, Quinn Ewers from Texas, and Travis Hunter from Colorado.

This is the first time we have seen evidence of the over 10,000 deals EA has made with college football players nationwide for their names, images, and likenesses.

    College Football 25 Release Date

EA Sports has put a countdown on the official webpage for EA Sports College Football 25. The big reveal is set to happen on May 16 at 11:00 AM ET. There are just a few days until some exciting news comes for college football fans!

This morning, the PlayStation Store leaked the cover of the Deluxe Edition and a new screenshot. Both were taken down later on. The cover shows Donovan Edwards, Quinn Ewers, and Travis Hunter in the spotlight, but you can also spot Jalen Milroe, Carson Beck, and Quinshon Judkins.

EA Sports College Football 25 Release Date

The first College Football 25 trailer gave us a sneak peek at what’s coming in the series’ return. It showed realistic mascots, jerseys, locker rooms, and stadiums. Plus, it revealed the first four teams: Michigan, Georgia, Florida, and Alabama.

    College Football 25 Players

EA has been very cautious about getting real players for College Football 25, especially after the lawsuit we talked about earlier.

They’re offering players who agree to be in the game $600 and a free copy of the game as thanks for using their likeness. And it seems to work – more than 10,000 college athletes have agreed to participate.

But not everyone’s on board. For example, Texas quarterback Arch Manning, the nephew of NFL stars Peyton and Eli Manning, reportedly said no to being in College Football 25.

When players decline, they’ll be replaced with generic characters, and there’s no way to change their names or looks. Still, having 10,000 real players is a big deal. EA aims to have entire teams for every school in the game, and they’ve got 87% of real athletes signed up.
