Release Timeframe and ARK 2 Speculation
This article contains all (if any) information released by the developer, as well as some conjecture from Ginx on when we could see the release of ARK 2, even though there is currently no official verified release date for the game.
After being scheduled for release in 2022, ARK 2 was delayed until 2023 at the 2022 Xbox and Bethesda Showcase. This is perhaps because the sudden global pandemic put a hold on many projects at businesses around the world.

As there is currently no other official information from the developers, we advise you to not get your hopes up for a release until late 2023. Similarly to the first ARK, it’s probable that the new game may feature an early access phase.
As the hero Santiago, Vin Diesel is sure to be a fan favorite once Ark 2 hits theaters. If you haven’t played ARK: Survival Evolved, you should know that Santiago is a carbon copy of the player character Santiago da Costa. More information about the character will be revealed in Ark: The Animated Series, due out in 2022 from Studio Wildcard. Only PC and next-gen consoles will be able to play it.
Ark 2 Trailer
The Ark 2 announcement/reveal trailer had its international premiere at the Game Awards stage in December 2020. Studio Wildcard announced that production of ARK 2 has moved to Unreal Engine 5, which has clearly improved the game’s visuals, despite the fact that the reveal video was entirely captured in-engine.
While this reveal trailer does not show any actual gameplay, it does establish the tone for the forthcoming sandbox, announce the participation of several well-known actors, and provide a sneak peek at some of the new additions coming to ARK 2 in the near future.
Following is a trailer for ARK 2 that was unveiled at E3 2022 and was shot in the brand new Unreal 5 engine, and as we’ve already noted, it looks really gorgeous. This trailer features no actual gameplay, but it does set the mood for the game’s story, which takes place on a planet devastated by war.
Despite the fact that life is still difficult in a world where dinosaurs run amok, Vin Diesel’s character and his daughter have a bone-armored pet T-Rex. The trailer has definitely piqued our interest in Ark 2, at the very least.
ARK 2 Gameplay
No actual Ark 2 gameplay has been shown off yet, but developer Studio Wildcard has provided us with some hints. Unlike its predecessor, Ark 2 is no longer a “sandbox survival experience,” which was the game’s original premise.
Ark 2 will instead feature Souls-like melee combat, in which players can lock onto enemies, block, dodge, perform combos, stagger, and use special strikes. The addition of first- and third-person gameplay in Ark 2 is a major shift, but it will benefit the game’s revamped movement and combat systems.
Ark 2 will feature numerous RPG elements, most notably rising up and advancing through a skill tree with a wide variety of powers, parks, and benefits. The world will operate more dynamically today, with events occurring whether or not you’re involved and providing you the freedom to participate in them and reap the benefits if you so desire.
With regards to foes, the Atarai is a fresh new enemy race that can ride dinosaurs and attack players from the ground, making them a serious threat. Even though we have no idea how this actually works in practice, we can’t wait to see more gameplay demos in Ark 2.

Ark 2 Pre-order
Due to the lengthy delivery window (all of 2023), no pre-orders are currently being accepted. However, PC gamers who want to get a head start can put the game on their Steam wishlist.

When compared to Ark: Survival Evolved, Ark 2 will be released on consoles and desktops simultaneously. Unfortunately, Microsoft’s website states that Ark 2 will initially only support the Xbox Series X/S.
