PlayStation has announced the four free games for PlayStation Plus Essential members this month, starting from May 7th.
The standout game is Tunic, a game similar to Zelda. It’s available on both PS4 and PS5. Despite its cute appearance, Tunic is a challenging puzzle game with lots of secrets to discover.
Here are all the games for May:
- EA Sports FC 24 Standard Edition (PS4, PS5)
- Ghost Runner 2 (PS5)
- Tunic (PS4, PS5)
- Destiny 2: Lightfall (PS4, PS5)
EA Sports FC 24 is the latest game in EA’s series, released last September. It was previously available to try out with EA Play. Plus, PlayStation Plus subscribers can also get the PlayStation Plus Football Ultimate Team Starter Pack for this game.
The other two games are Ghostrunner 2, an action game set in a cyberpunk world, available on PS5, and Destiny 2: Lightfall, the latest expansion in the popular sci-fi MMO from Bungie, available on both PS4 and PS5.
If you haven’t downloaded April’s games yet – Immortals of Aveum, Minecraft Legends, and Skul: The Hero Slayer – this is your last chance. And it seems like the exclusive game Horizon: Zero Dawn might be leaving soon too.
Last month, Tales of Kenzera: Zau and Dave the Diver were added for Extra and Premium tier members. Animal Well will also be available from May 9th, but what comes after that is still a mystery.
