This October, Alan Wake 2, a new installment in the expanding Remedy universe, will be released. The company just debuted a new cinematic video at the PlayStation showcase, and today, during Summer Game Fest, we have our first look at gameplay.
According to the gameplay demonstration, the remedy isn’t kidding around when it calls this its first survival-horror game. It mimics Resident Evil more than the original Alan Wake because of its slower, eerie pace, close-up camera angle, and lengthier adversary confrontations.
Saga Anderson, a new playable character in Alan Wake 2, is one of the game’s most notable additions. Before confronting, well, a Taken, observe her as she investigates an abandoned general store in the woods next to Cauldron Lake.
You’ll witness some fresh investigative gameplay based on the past of the FBI agent after she almost escapes with her life.
