The developer of Control, Quantum Break, and Max Payne, Remedy Entertainment, has provided a brief fresh update on the progress of its upcoming game, Alan Wake 2. Remedy ultimately announced in late 2021 that an Alan Wake sequel was in the works and would debut in 2023.
Since that announcement, there hasn’t been much important game-related news, which has caused some fans to worry that it would fall further behind. Fortunately, based on what the studio has recently made explicit, it doesn’t sound like this should be happening.
The seasoned game developer Remedy emphasized that Alan Wake 2 is still scheduled to release before 2023 comes to a close in a new message posted on the company’s website.
The Remedy provided this minor update on the awaited sequel when unveiling a new business logo. Nothing else was revealed regarding Alan Wake 2 outside this broad 2023 confirmation, but this will change soon.

“Our future is inspiring. Despite almost three decades in the game industry, it feels we are only getting started in many ways,” Remedy said when talking about what lies in wait for the studio. “You can look forward to Alan Wake 2 later this year and several great Remedy experiences to play in the coming years.”
Remedy has acknowledged that the company is working on several other games besides Alan Wake 2. Control 2, Max Payne: The Fall of Max Payne remakes, and a multiplayer game with the working title Condor are a few of these games.

Many of these games still have very few details, but in the following months and years, more information will undoubtedly start to surface.
The only thing we know for sure regarding Alan Wake 2 is that it will debut on current-generation platforms and be set for release this year. Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PlayStation 5, and PC are all part of this lineup.
