Phantom Blade Zero Climbs to 833,921 Players on Steam in Its First Weekend

Phantom Blade Zero drew 833,921 people at once on Steam during its first weekend, according to Steam’s most-played chart, higher than the launch-day peaks reported earlier in the week.

The chart listed that number as the game’s “peak today” when Game Empress checked at 16:04 UTC and again at 16:51 UTC (12:51 p.m. EDT) on Nov. 1, 2026. It ranked the game No. 3 on Steam’s most-played list.

Early reports after launch, including GameWatcher’s, put the game’s peak at more than 723,800 players. By Oct. 31, 2026, the Russian gaming site PlayGround.ru, citing the tracking site SteamDB, said the peak had reached 775,000. PlayGround.ru also reported the 833,921 figure on Nov. 1, 2026.

Player counts rise and fall through the day. Steam’s public player-count service showed 437,571 people playing at 16:51 UTC on Nov. 1, 2026.

What Phantom Blade Zero is

The action game comes from developer S-GAME Studio and publisher S-GAME Publishing, and its Steam page lists a release date of Oct. 28, 2026. Players control Soul, “a warrior with only sixty-six days left to live,” who fights off assassins and tries to unravel conspiracies, according to the store description. It was selling for $59.99 on Steam in the U.S. when Game Empress checked on Nov. 1, 2026.

S-GAME has not disclosed exact sales figures, PlayGround.ru reported. Game Empress separately covered PC players’ reports of shaders compiling on every launch and a bug in the Mirrorwood Web area earlier on Nov. 1, 2026.
